I used this bottler to bottle cider, and i even continued fermenting in the bottle, and the cap held. Easy to operate. One tip, when removing the capper from the top of the bottle after capping, gently pull the bottle out (some twisting is fine), rather than pushing the handles the opposite direction, as this will leave an indent on the top of your cap.

Bottle cappers are difficult to find. They are sometimes carried at specialty stores like Wine and More. The Black Beauty works. Capping bottles is a simple process. This capper for the price is ok. I would prefer a more rugged design. Using higher quality materials. I have wine openers that are manufactured with machined or cast and polished aluminum for 5 more bucks. Long story short it works now but due to the plastic construction I don't think it will last a long time with frequent use.

I like this product because it is easy to use. I do not have a great deal of strength in my hands, but I find I can manage this capper relatively easily. I would recommend it to a friend.

I just started home brewing and bought this so I could cap my bottles of mead. It's easy to use and seems very sturdy. I had a friend help me who's been brewing for over 20 years, and he even commented on how much he liked it. The device is simple, so there isn't much else to say. I'm quite happy with it!

The first couple of times you do this, you may feel you want to keep pushing the lever down further, but do so with caution! I like to go slowly with this capper because if you go to far you will crack the neck of your bottle. I guess this is fairly obvious, but just take my advice. I've probably capped nearly a hundred bottles of water kefir by this point and chipped or cracked about 5 or 6, which is very frustrating, especially when glass bottles are hard to come by.

EDIT: This thing broke. I capped probably 100 bottle with it. Not bad. Instead I bought a ton of Grolsch style bottles - no need for a capper anymore.

Got it in the mail and it worked great. Used this bottle my homebrew beer. When you use it make sure it is level on the bottle and push all the way down to secure the cap. The first couple weren't too pretty.

I did buy this one and wished I would have read more reviews. I used this for one gross bag of caps (144). Hard at first to use then got better. By the end of the bag of caps my caps did not seal and I broke some neck bottles.

This doesn't really create a uniform seal unless you are able to apply the same amount of pressure with both hands on each handle. I would go with a capper that is a single lever design, and I have since I purchased this item.
