Come into my world!, December 14, 2004
This review is from: Northwestern University: Off the Record (College Prowler) (Paperback)
As the author of this guidebook, I thought I knew a lot about Northwestern. And then I started researching, talking to my peers, and pounding out the pages... In preparing this guide for students, teachers, counselors and parents, I learned a lot about myself, and in extension, much about why I chose Northwestern. Why do I love this school? It's challenging, intellectually stimulating, but still not too uptight. The down side? Well, we're still speculating on a social scene. But as you will learn at NU, the experience is what you make of it. I urge you to pick up this book if you're at all interested in the musings of one student on the verge of breaking out into the world. There is a little something for everyone -- Julia Louis-Dreyfus or Dick Gephardt in the making (just two alumni you may be interested in)! You'll learn something you didn't know, and what's more -- you'll learn whether this truly is the best academic and social fit for you.
