3.0 out of 5 stars Norton 360, December 4, 2008
By
This review is from: Norton 360 2.0 5 User [OLD VERSION] (CD-ROM)
I opted for this program instead of renewing with the Antivirus program due to some of the options offered with 360. The biggest problem I believe Norton needs to address is with the back-up issue that is built in, there should be a way to disable this option without having a "red X" displayed on your desktop> I belive Norton put programed it in this fashoin to sell back-up space on their website, which I feel stinks! The other option is to buy and endless supply of RW DVDs or twice as many RW CDs to back up on. Surprized that Norton pulled this shabby gimick.

1.0 out of 5 stars Trainwreck!, October 27, 2008
This review is from: Norton 360 2.0 5 User [OLD VERSION] (CD-ROM)
Norton 360 is an utter disaster. You will lose the ability to right-click, as doing so causes Windows Explorer to crash, every time, if this program is installed.

This was true for me on two separate machines, both less than a year old.

1.0 out of 5 stars Beware of Norton 360., August 15, 2008

This review is from: Norton 360 2.0 5 User [OLD VERSION] (CD-ROM)
I had to remove Norton 360 from my computer. It slowed everything down. After about 1/2 hour of use, Norton prevented my Roboform tool bar from loading. (Highly recommend Roboform) Norton kept displaying the worthless Norton tool bar. Yes, I had changed all the options to hide it. Norton kept changing my browser settings.

For a casual surfer it may be OK. But if you know what you are doing or want actual perfomance, Don't buy Norton 360.
