4.0 out of 5 stars Easy and does it all
Great product. Would give it 4.75 stars if available. I prefer a little more tweeking as in NIS, but I bought this to share with other not very technically inclined family members. Can set it and it does it's job. Norton has definitly improved this product between versions and has made it family friendly. Bought the Premium version for the peace of mind of back-up...

3.0 out of 5 stars Password not easy to work with
I have used this product from norton for years. The password/identity functions keeps dropping it's info when you turn off/reset the computer. This means you have to enter your information, again each time. This is annoying. This occurs in the Card & Login section. Also, it seems that when it is at rest it says that there is nothing to scan but if I do it manually...

Great product. Would give it 4.75 stars if available. I prefer a little more tweeking as in NIS, but I bought this to share with other not very technically inclined family members. Can set it and it does it's job. Norton has definitly improved this product between versions and has made it family friendly. Bought the Premium version for the peace of mind of back-up storage. I would highly recommend for those that are not computer savvy or, like me, who don't want to have to check other family members computers very often. Speed has been much improved from earlier Norton products, not as much of a resource hog and continually gets high test scores on most independent studies. Do research and you will be pleasantly suprised.

Have used this product for years...they have great 24/7 support (even though it's overseas) and have helped me out many times. I do use the remote online back-up feature and have had to restore files several times. I am sold on this product...

5.0 out of 5 stars NORTON 360 GREAT AMAZON WAS EXTREMELY SLOW, September 25, 2010

I HAVE ALWAYS HAD GOOD LUCK WITH NORTON 360 PREMIER EDOTION WITH 25GB OF SECURE ONLINE STORAGE. UNLESS YOU WANT THAT MUCH ONLINE STORAGE, I WOULD SUGGEST BUYING NORTON 360 THAT HAS 2GB OF SECURE ONLINE STORAGE. WHEN COMPARING NORTON 360 PREMIER EDITION NEXT TO NORTON 360 THE ONLY DIIFERENCE THAT I CAN SEE IS THAT YOU WILL PAY MORE MONEY FOR MORE ONLINE STORAGE OTHERWISE THE PRODUCT IS EXACTLY THE SAME. SO WHY PAY MORE? BUY NORTON 360.
UNFORTUNATLEY WHEN I PURCHASED THIS PRODUCT FROM AMAZON THEY WERE EXTREMELY SLOW IN GETTING ME MY ORDER. IT TOOK ABOUT 2 WEEKS BEFORE THEY SENT MY ORDER OUT. IN THE PAST I HAVE TYPICALLY RECIEVED MY ORDERS IN LESS THAN 10 DAYS FROM THE TIME I ORDERED THEM.

5.0 out of 5 stars NORTON 360 ver 4.0, August 11, 2010

No problem w/ transaction or merchant! Norton has been my selection for pc security for 4-5 years. The version 4.0 really supports greater user involvement through well thought out software and friendly operator enhancements. I see a bit of incorporation borrowed from other major software protection systems that I feel are innovative and I am happy with that incorporation...probably not the competition. Norton has created an enhanced protection system with some improvements seeming all their own too. I am only approaching an intermediate user, and Norton has been my choice for five years, so my suggestion is less than professional. I selected Norton five years ago as my choice from experience that began with Norton commander 1988 and that innovative product it was then. Their progression seems constant in their product.

1.0 out of 5 stars Norton 360 Premier 4.0, August 10, 2010
This review is from: Norton 360 Premier 4.0 1 User (3 PC) [Old Version] (CD-ROM)
This review is not about how the product works. It is about the inability to communicate with the company. The other day I received assistance with installing Norton 360 on a new computer. I was assisted by someone in India and he did a fine job. The problem arose the following morning when I received 4 credit card bills form Visitmyindia totaling over $100 dollars. I felt that this was more than a coincidence so I wanted to report this to Norton so they could investigate. After trying the normal channels and waiting on hold for over a half hour (actually there is no normal channel to issue a complaint of any nature) I then called the corporate office where a young lady wanted me to fax a letter . I told her the nature of my complaint and she then suggested I write a letter. That is when I told her I was trying to help Norton and I had no intentions of jumping thru hoops and that I would just make a complaint on the internet which I'm now doing. She said "Fine, have a nice day."
The irony is that Best Buy tried to give me free antivirus software and I passed because I've been using Norton for a long time. When this software expires so will Norton as far as I'm concerned.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best complete protection in one CD, February 17, 2012

Love love love the Norton 360 series...it really does cover everything, all around, and all the extras that it performs such as PC Tune ups, diagnostics, etc. are just fantastic.
This 360 series (any version) is much better than just an Anti-Virus Cd...it does that and SO much more. Also very easy to navigate and set up your own personal level of protection for how you use your own PC. Highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Rated the best by several computer magazines, March 30, 2011

With their new detection and scan engines Norton uses less memory and cpu than previous versions. It has the fastest "quick scan" in the industry and detects all threats thrown at it. It also recognizes future problems by analyzing potential threats' signatures.

If you have a current version and it is about to expire, purchasing it from Amazon is less expensive than just renewing with Norton. If you have upgraded during your subscription to the new version than all you need to do is click the "Renew" button and enter the key found inside the carton. If you are still running last year's version than you need to re-install it or upgrade from the Norton web-site first.

However when you enter the key, because it is purchased from other than Norton, it will only renew for 366 days! It will not add any days you had left from the previous subscription. So wait until your old subscription has only a couple of days left before renewing. And yes you will have to endure those annoying pop ups telling you that you are close to Armageddon.

When I switched from Comcast (Which included Norton) to Verizon FIOS (Which included MacAffee) it didn't take much time before I had a virus problem. I went back to Norton 360, and everything has been OK for some time.
