HUGE improvement over Norton Internet Security 2008,

This review is from: Norton Internet Security 2009 - 3 User Edition & Save & Restore 2.0 (CD-ROM)
I wrote in my review of Norton Internet Security 2008 that I used the product - but despised it. The hit to my system's resources was just too great, and I turned much of it off as a result.
The 2009 version is MUCH faster - to the point where I am leaving all options enabled. The hit to the system appears to be minimal. The user interface is simpler and less confusing also. Big improvements all around. Be aware that the engines underlying Internet Security 2009 and Norton 360 are reported to be different, with 360 using the older version (i.e., performance problems).

Norton Internet Security 2009 (3 User Edition) was easy to install and register. The security system scanned my harddrive immediately and resolving issues is quite simple. The protection offered is excellent, warning me immediately not to open an attachment if it detects the presence of a virus or worm.

This is an update of my formar review.
November 2009. The Norton's customer service personnel just erased all the periphericals of my computer. I had to install all over again including Windows, Office and all other sotfware. I also lost a los of important information. DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO TAKE REMOTE CONTROL OF YOUR COMPUTER, THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING. I GUEST THEY DO NOT HAVE TECHNICAL BACKGROUND, THEY ARE JUST REGULAR PEOPLE WORKING AS "INBOUND OPERATORS". At the beginning this was a very good product, until I tried to run "Liveupdate", it never works, eacch time I try to do the update a different problem shows up. So far I have contacted customer service six times for the same reason. This has been the most wasteful expenditure of money I've ever done. I bought the software with three licences, so far it was only working in ONE computer... until today, it does not work on that one either. I have three laptos (Asus, Acer & Gateway) and Norton Internet Security was only working in the Asus laptop. The Acer and the Gateway have not been able to run the update option even once. The customer service people at Norton, have not been able to run it either. I just do NOT recommend this product. I will NOT buy it next year. In the meantime I will have to buy another product to get my laptops secure. What a shame for Norton!!! Cuauhtemoc Glez.
