good all in one waterstone. i suggest getting lower grit for shaping heavily miss shaped knives (really dull). but if you want to just get one stone this is a good buy. the carrying case doubles as a platform, that is a big plus.

Good choice for kitchen knives, and lower HRC knives. Don not use it to hone steels like D2 or VG-10, that will hurt the surface of this water stone.
