5.0 out of 5 stars Norton Online Backup
We've had this program for about a year and love it. When you first set the program up it may take a while depending on the size and/or number of your files, but then the daily backups are pretty quick and they run in the background. A little message pops up near your clock when it starts and when it finishes. We have it set up on two pc's and one server (all using...

1.0 out of 5 stars Not a Disaster Recovery program, just a disaster!
We moved to Win 7 64-bit and our old backup software will not run. I had a copy of Norton Online Backup purchased last Fall but never installed, so thought we should try it - hoping that Norton would prompt us for an upgrade to the new V2. It was a complete disaster! First, the program ran for more than an hour to identify files for backup; then it began backing up -...

We've had this program for about a year and love it. When you first set the program up it may take a while depending on the size and/or number of your files, but then the daily backups are pretty quick and they run in the background. A little message pops up near your clock when it starts and when it finishes. We have it set up on two pc's and one server (all using Windows XP) and we don't seem to notice any system slow down or delays.

A few months ago I lost my data when my hard drive failed. After I got my new hard drive installed, I was able to get all my files back in about an hour. I was so estatic (any my boss was, too) that I had this program! It was a real time saver! :)

We moved to Win 7 64-bit and our old backup software will not run. I had a copy of Norton Online Backup purchased last Fall but never installed, so thought we should try it - hoping that Norton would prompt us for an upgrade to the new V2. It was a complete disaster! First, the program ran for more than an hour to identify files for backup; then it began backing up - without prompting to see if we wanted all/some/none of the files it apparently selected. It said the first backup could take "days" and provided no opportunity at all to bail out. This is just inexcusably bad behavior for software. After reading the bad reviews for v2, we just decided to give up and uninstall it. Then it got worse. The new computer crashed and it took hours to Recover the factory image.
