I bought this Norwegian Pocket Dictionary for my teenaged granddaughter, who is no scholar, when she was spending a week's vacation with the family of my daughter's Norwegian exchange student. His younger sister is her age, and I thought it might help them enjoy their short time together. I also bought her Norway - Culture Smart!: the essential guide to customs & culture. She looked that one over before the trip, but elected to take the dictionary along, and the two girls did use and enjoy it. They behaved like two normal kids at first, essentially ignoring one another, but became close if temporary friends when they had a chance to be alone together in family lodgings in New York City. I feel quite clever for having found the two books for her, online and delivered to my door.
