Product Description

Size: 1-ct

Get the 2 in 1 combo of NoseFrida aspirator and replacement filters. NoseFrida is non-invasive – instead of going inside the nose like the bulb, it forms a seal with the outside of the baby’s nostril (creating a vacuum). Parent-powered (mouth) suction is much stronger and more effective than the static suction of the bulb or battery-powered aspirators. NoseFrida is also easy to clean. Overview: It’s smart. It’s Swedish. It’s maybe a little strange. It’s doctor invented & recommended. It’s 100% hygienic due to the included filters (4). It’s fabulously reviewed (Rachel Ray, Parenting, & more). It’s a nasal aspirator that ACTUALLY WORKS! It’s NoseFrida.  The Snotsucker. Replacement filters (20 count) for NoseFrida The Snotsucker Nasal Aspirator. Clinically proven to prevent bacterial and mucus transfer.  Made of moisture-absorbing polyurethane.

No, seriously, just buy this thing. It sounds gross but WOW does it work. The bulb syringe just pisses the baby off and does absolutely nothing in terms of clearing their nose. This thing also pisses my baby off, but it actually gets the snot out. And believe me, when your baby has a cold and can't nurse, won't sleep and nothing will work, you will be very grateful for this item. Many mom friends of mine have rejected the thought of this thing until their little one gets all stuffed up -- then they call me "What was the name of that thing? I NEED one!" Disgusting, but oh so satisfying. I wish I had one of these with my older two kids.

The other thing is that I never felt like the bulb syringe was clean. I mean how do you wash the inside? With this I know I've rinsed all the funk out. It's really a great item. Just buy it.

I got this snot sucker based on the other Amazon reviews and I have not been disappointed. My daughter recently came down with her first cold and I found myself in need of a good snot sucker. I was using the bulb syringe that I was given at the hospital- it seems to be getting some mucus, but I felt like there was still a lot in her nose that could come out. The Nosefrida has been much more effective at removing mucus from my baby's nose, or at least it seems like it.

The Nosefrida seems a little gross when you first look at it- it seems like you'll be sucking snot right into your mouth! Once you use it, though, you realize that you would have to collect a lot of mucus in the large tube before it would even reach the filter and tubing. I haven't used a motorized aspirator, but it seems like the Nosefrida would have the advantage of having more suction (at least when I do it) and it doesn't have a noisy motor. One thing that I love about this aspirator is that you can see all the mucus you get in the tube. Sounds gross, but it is very satisfying to see all the progress you've made and to know that you've removed it from your poor baby's nose. Then it is very easy to clean- just remove the collection tube from the smaller tubing, run under warm water, and a little soap. Done.

My daughter hates the aspirator, of course. She hates anything that involves cleaning, wiping, or otherwise messing with her face. She's a baby- this is to be expected. So I don't base my review of this product on her reaction. I love it, and deep down I know she appreciates me getting the snot out of her nose.

Love it, and you can use tissues if you run out of filters and are in a rush. It gets out a lot of yucky.

My son got a cold at 3 monts old. I had a good bulb suctioner that I had for my first born. She never liked it but it did the job. But with my son he would scream like we were pouring boiling water on him. At the sight of it he would get hysterical to the point he would immediately poop and vomit. He was so stuffed up he was gagging on his own snot. I would start to cry becaue I had to 'snarkle' him (the name we used for scutioning him). Having to insert the bulb mulitple times on both side was so tramatic that he would sob. shake and cling to us for a long time after we were done.
We ordered the snot sucker (used the one day shipping-it was soooo worth it). He still cries when we use it but no were near as much and his cry isn't the same frantic I-am-being-tortured scream. It works great. It is a little nasueating and if you have a low gag reflex it is a challange but I can tolerate it because I know that it is saves my baby a lot of pain. Being able to see what is coming out is very good because you can tell how much is coming out also you can see what color it is (clear or milky is normal, green can mean an infection). Being able to control the suction is great and grossly is oddly satisfying. Buy the snot succer-it is worth every cent!

When I received this item, I was surprised it cost $20. I thought it should cost closer to $5 given what it is made of. However, given my congested one month old, I was willing to try anything. This product DOES work, and it is far better than the bulb syringe in terms of removing congestion from my baby's nose. One problem I had was that it was too big for my baby's tiny nose. She has since grown into it and I have also gotten more comfortable with using it. The other issue is that my baby screams bloody murder when I am using it so it seems to bother her quite a bit. It takes her a while to calm down after using it too. So in summary, the product does work - the reason for my three stars (opposed to a higher rating) are the high cost and the fact that my blood pressure rises dramatically when I have to subject my daughter to it!

I wish I would have known about Nosefrida with my first child. This product is easier to use and seems less invasive than the normal nasal aspirator. I highly recommend this to anyone.

This product is amazing. It takes a little getting used to and coordination bc the piece (looks like a test tube with a hole at the bottom) that sits against the baby's nose doesn't stay in place. You do have to hold it in place. It does work better if you rotate the test tube piece in a circular motion while sucking in. I feel like medium bursts, not short or too long worked best for me. The baby still cried the whole time but he did with the syringe bulb and this works 1000 times better! Put some nasal saline drops in each nostril give it s few sec then flip baby over on tummy. Saline and gravity (plus the crying) work the boogies closer to the outside. Then flip baby back onto back then start using the nose frida.
