Bought this for special occasions and love it! Melts nice and is easy to clean. Well worth the price even though the molds and bowls will not be used. Not for a large party as it is small. Great for having fun with the kids.

Makes Great Candy & Chocolate Covered Strawberries!,

On a Travel show, Samantha Brown told a group of people in Switzerland that in the US we have a custom: we receive a fondue sets as wedding gifts and sell them for $5 a year later at a yard sale. Funny, but this one will not be for sale! I received this as a gift, and I only planned to use it to dip fruit in for get togethers. I hadn't planned on making candy, and chocolate covered strawberries, but I am. The candy comes out great, I just use the little ladle and scoop the chocolate right into the molds (they include a bottle which you are supposed to use but it just sounds like extra work and mess). The chocolate covered strawberries look professional especially if you use the long stemmed ones, and make great gifts for Valentine's Day. I also received chocolate ordered through Amazon, 2 lb bags "for Fountain and Fondue" from a Bountiful Harvest and it is Delicious! Takes about 1/2 hour or more to melt (less time if you stir it midway) but it is not as much trouble as using a double boiler. You don't have to watch it and can leave it on for hours. You don't add oil to this chocolate as it has cocoa butter already in it. I use the 4 bowls which come with the set to serve the chocolate individually, and I use the molds to make candy if there is any chocolate left over. I suggest washing everything just afterwards before the chocolate hardens (when I didn't, I had to soak everything in boiling water to loosen to wash). Great Item!

I love this pot. It melts my chocolates perfectly every time. I don't have to stir constantly or worry about the chocolate burning. I have had this for two weeks and have used it more times than I can count. I only wish there was a larger version also available. I may try my crockpot, but I am afraid my chocolate will burn. I need to melt a lot of chocolate for Christmas candies. This will work great, but because it is small, I'll have to keep adding to the pot. I do recommend this product. I have already bought a second one to use for my white chocolate. I plan to buy two more for gifts.

This chocolate pot works great. It takes a little longer to melt the chocolate than claimed, but it doesn't take too long, and it does melt the chocolate very creamily. Easy to clean up too. I have used candy melts and chopped up chocolate bars in it. Works great with both.

I purchased this as a gift for my son who loves anything dipped in chocolate. He had his eye on the much larger fountains. I wanted something smaller that he could use without making a big mess. I also did not want 3 pounds of chocolate melted at once. This little pot is perfect for that reason. You melt 1 1/2 cups of chips or whatever type of chocolate you want. This will allow you to dip over 2 pounds of strawberries and numerous pretzels from one batch. Because of it's size and ease of use it has been pulled out several times already. I highly reccomend this to anyone who is looking for a smaller chocolate fondue pot. Think of it as a mini crock pot as that's what it reminds me of most.

I bought this based on the photo and description. I have 2 already and couldn't find any more for a long time. My old one is just as it's shown in the photo and described here. The old version has a ceramic (visible in photo) removable pot, 4 dipping forks, 4 ceramic (not plastic) bowls, etc. The new one that just arrived has a thin metal pot, 2 plastic dipping bowls, a plastic lid , 2 forks, one ladel, and 6 molded sets. Not what is advertised or shown in the photo. Check the product weight description - 4 lbs, however shipping weight is only 2 lbs? now I know, that's not a typo. Very dissapointed!!!!

It does not melt chocolate effectively at all. This was a total waste of money.

I bought this product with high hopes of making my Christmas candy, but after 3 hrs. of having my chocolat chips and wax in the Chocolate Heaven Fondue pot, my chocolate wasn't quite melted yet. At that point, I switched to my double boiler, which worked fine.My advice is don't buy this product. Invest in a double boiler. I'm rating the product a one because it doesn't work. Also, it's too small. With such a small quantity of chocolate in the pot (it will hold 12 oz of chips), I would have needed to melt 2 rounds of chips. With 3 hours and counting to get the first batch melted, I didn't have time to melt another pack in the Fondue.

I paid nothing for this.I followed the instructions. Talk about underpowered, it can't even keep 1/8" of chocolate melted. 12 oz my S! The only thing that gets colder faster is Medusa when she freezes her opponents with her stone stare. As soon as the chocolate leaves the bottom, it's rock hard. I transferred the chocolate to the double boiler. The chocolate was melted in minutes, & stayed pliable for two large cookie sheets of chocolates. |
