Brought this from a local store after seeing on Amazon. The instructions are completely off, even with the obvious updated manual (stickers everywhere). the whole press is cheap plastic that feels like it will break any moment, that is assuming the parts fit together. None of the parts fit together properly

Nostalgia Electrics CG-100 Electric Cookie Press
This broke the first time I tried to use it! Mixed cookie dough as directed and followed instructions filling and putting together...turned it on and it whirred and whirred and cracked! The clear plastic tube that the dough goes into cracked from one end almost to the other end. I through it away! It makes me leary of other Nostalgia products!

I actually really liked this cookie press when I first got it. It was a gift exchange gift, so I wasn't expecting a lot. My first batch looked terrible, but I was getting the hang of it by the 2nd batch. I used the recipes in the book and they came out of the press perfectly. Before today, I would have given the product 4 stars, but this afternoon on my last set of Christmas Tree cookies, it all of a sudden stopped working. Now the motors hums, but nothing happens. So disappointing! Hoping I can get it started working again!

Saw this in local store & grabbed it, thinking "Oh, boy! Now my old hands won't ache after using my late mother's old cookie press!"
First batch went great, even though I kept accidentally hitting the start button.
Second batch? Not so much. One of the tiny plastic locking pieces on the main barrel broke off, wedging inside the motor portion.
While I am going to call the company to ask them to send me a new barrel (I am determined to get my money's worth out of this thing IF I can maneuver that errant piece of plastic out first!), I don't have great hopes for the thing's future.
Meanwhile, I dug out Mom's old aluminum cookie press (which holds a LOT more dough, BTW, and knocked out a batch of cookies with no fuss or muss.

Bottom line : Save your money, in the long run, by investing in the old-fashioned kind...all metal!

The product is flimsy and incredibly noisy - like grinding pieces of plastic in a blender. It doesn't work - not enough pressure to push out the dough - so how could it ever have gone to market? It went into the trash the same day it was opened as a Christmas gift. Now my wife, a semi-professional chef, has forbidden me from ever buying her any more kitchen tools without her input.

This is cheap plastic and does feel like it could bust apart any second. I can only get 1 disc to even work, not to mention while it is working it is very noisy and makes loud cracking sounds. It is more work using this thing than a hand press, which I am going to go back to! A total waste of my money!
