I had a Yonanas that only lasted just over a year with regular but not heavy use. It was extremely noisy but I loved the product. I found the FroFrutti and it was less expensive and had decent reviews. I thought I'd give it a try. It's much better! It's much quieter and works a lot better. You don't have to use brute strength to force the bananas thru it and the product is smoother. It's very easy to clean. With just frozen fruit going thru you only need to rinse it off. I don't like the colors all that much but it's ok because the machine is great! I love it. If you like ice cream this is such a good replacement. You would think you we're having rich ice cream and its only fruit. If you like bananas and you like ice cream, you will love this.

Picked this up at Kohls yesterday for $24.99 - I have a son with horrible food sensitivities, I'm always trying to find a way to get more fruit into him. Was going between this and a $69.99 ice cream maker and this won due to price & the fact that I didn't have to 'cook' a recipe - it boasted simply use frozen fruit.

I was VERY skeptical that there was no way it would take frozen fruit & in 30 seconds turn it into a pure fruit sorbet but WOW it works - mixed with a bit of coconut milk yogurt & its a yummy healthy treat my six year old will eat!

Only have used it twice, but am really pleased with the results so far - looking forward to trying frozen apples & cinnamon... perhaps on my waffles tomorrow AM!

Cleans easy (totally disassembles) and I'm not sure how long the motor will last, but for $24.99 seems to be worth the price!

I LOVE this little machine! I thought, "Oh great, just another gadget I'll put away and not use." Couldn't be more wrong. It makes the best consistency sorbet. Bananas make a smooth, creamy ice cream. A little yogurt makes it tangy and creamy. The best thing is the grandkids love making it and they think they are getting ice cream. A must have for kids or anyone who is health conscious.

My rating should actually be a 4.5 but I went higher instead of lower out of fairness. I have started eating healthier and trying to switch my children to a more raw vegan way of eating is a little hard but this is helping with the ice cream cravings. Just add the frozen fruit (you should let it sit out for a few minutes just for ease of use) and voila...you've got dessert. The children don't even pay attention to the fact that they're eating fruit.

Love it enough that I'm going to buy another one for my parents house. :)

The only thing that I don't like is the size of the shoot, I wish that it was a bit wider like the one on the more popular brand. I'm a sucker for an underdog so that's why I got this one instead of Yonanas. Plus it was less expensive.

My kids begged me for this and I thought I wouldn't use it, but I've used it about 5 times now (we've had it a few days) and each time, the frozen treat is amazing. There are a few tricks... the fruit must be frozen solid, then sit out for a few minutes, otherwise it doesn't flow through the machine as easily. I like to alternate fruit, so strawberry and blueberry, etc. The biggest advantage is that the fruit can be overly ripe (and therefore sweeter) so you can use older fruit and even get fruit on discount and freeze it up. I suggest taking the banana peel off before you freeze it, that makes it alot easier to manage. I got mine at Kohl's because they'll take it back if it doesn't meet my expectations, but so far, it's been perfect! Even my diabetic friend likes it! Another way to think you're getting a treat, but you are actually eating healthy.

I swear, I use it every night instead of eating ice cream, as I used to do!
It sure seems like sorbet to me ... pure fruit - refreshing and satisfies my sweet tooth. I wanted to lose 15 pounds and this is one of the reasons I have been successful! FYI, I use a banana, frozen mango chunks, and frozen strawberries or other berries. Leave them out of the freezer for 15-18 minutes, put them in the "chute" and YOWZAH! Maybe add a bit of light whipped cream on top!

This little gadget is great for making a more healthy frozen treat than ice cream. I've used it with berries and pineapple...even put some small cubes of frozen yogurt in with the fruit to make my own frozen yogurt. For the money, it's a great little machine. I was going to buy the Yonanas machine until I saw this at a fairly significant price difference. The only problem I have with it is that it does tend to leave a lot of frozen fruit in the mixing chamber. It's easy to scrape out, though, but I wish more of it came out in the bowl rather than staying in the machine.

The machine makes a nice frozen dessert out of fruit, but it's very very difficult to take apart and clean. I finally gave up trying to twist the grinder free from the chute. So I make the dessert and then let the machine run long enough to get as much of the fruit out of the chute, then remove the chute/grinder from the base and rinse it out until the water runs clear and full through the hole. The instructions say to turn it clockwise, which I did, and nothing. I even tried it counter-clockwise, but nothing. This is not easy to take apart. But it works to make the dessert.
