4.0 out of 5 stars If it's true we're in trouble
A thin work with no justification for how the author comes up with his translation and interpretation of the original text.
None-the-less, an easy read and if some of the interpretations start to come true it'd be worth it's weight in gold.

This review is from: The Nostradamus Code: World War III (Paperback)
This was the biggest piece of garbage I have ever seen. The author really needs to go back to school and learn how to spell and punctuate. He even calls World War 3 WWWIII all throughout the book! Then to top it all off, at the end of the book he has a debate with himself on what you would do if you had the knowledge of an impending event and doesn't even finish the debate. It's like he just gave up or got tired and ended the book. Don't waste you time or money with this one.

1.0 out of 5 stars One of the Worst Nostradamus Books I have read, August 30, 2006
This review is from: The Nostradamus Code: World War III (Paperback)
I have read a few Books on Nostradamus and this one is undoubtedly the worst. The book claims to be based on some recent discoveries (which is a marketing pitch to attract more buyers).

I bought this book, because its the most recent one.

Its not only a waste of money but also of your precious time.

I am trying to think of any reason (even small) to buy this book and I cannot come up with any.

1.0 out of 5 stars HOW can this man live with himself?????, September 2, 2006
This review is from: The Nostradamus Code: World War III (Paperback)
I wish I could make this book with NO STARS!! I have read all 3 of Dolores Cannon's 'Conversations with Nostradamus' and this man Michael Rathford thinks he can pledgerize her work and make money out of it. IF YOU BUY THIS BOOK YOU WILL BE EXTREMEMLY DISAPPOINTED. Buy any one of Dolores Cannon's books on Nostradamus if you want to understand the person of Nostradamus or the prophecies. All of the explanations in this book were STOLEN from Dolores Cannon's book - some of the words are an exact duplication! - he didn't even change the wording. Why bother to buy this when you can read the real thing from Dolores? Even the price is the same! THIS BOOK IS AN OUTRAGE! He should be sued - I wish I had burned the money instead of giving it to this man!!!!!

This "pamphlet" is about as deep and meaningful as an empty glass of water. There is absolutely no analysis of the quatrains and no reasoning of interpretations. Your money is worth spent on a psychic or palm reader. The upside: the book is recyclable.

1.0 out of 5 stars Misleading title ...., May 19, 2007
This review is from: The Nostradamus Code: World War III (Paperback)
I would rate this book (Zero)... no star at all. I was disappointed with this book. There is absolutely no analysis of the quatrains and no reasoning of interpretations. The cost is too much for 85 page book. I do not recommend it to anyone .. it's a waste of money and time.

1.0 out of 5 stars You've got to be kidding, June 2, 2007
This review is from: The Nostradamus Code: World War III (Paperback)
Luckily, I only borrowed this from a library. It was the biggest waste of time I've ever read. First, the thing is poorly formatted and written, as if the editor was blind. Secondly, I read it because it had "2007-2012" on the cover - that's the ONLY reference to those dates in the book, the text talks about 'decades after the 00s'. Third, he makes really ridiculous statements like 'The Earth, after a relative period of peace, will suffer a great natural disaster' (ooh, vague, there)... and further down the same paragraph 'Religious leaders will lose credibility because of the inability to explain the earth changes. Christianity will falter.' I'm not a Christian, and even *I* know that religious leaders attribute natural disasters to God's wrath. It's profoundly stupid in ways I can't begin to describe. Skip this one.

1.0 out of 5 stars Pass on this one!, November 14, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Nostradamus Code: World War III (Paperback)
From the product description and back cover of the book: "Using cutting-edge data mining techniques, Dr. Michael Rathford sifted this complex word puzzle searching for significant patterns and relationships. Almost immediately, he came up with the predictive model known as The Nostradamus Code." - The "data mining techniques" were never discussed in the book, or any other information on how the author came up with what he wrote. For all a reader knows all the information in the book was just made up out of thin air. Without the how, the information is pretty much useless as far as I can tell.

- There is no documentation (for the interested reader to follow up on) on the claims made about Nostradamus in the beginning of the book - could be made up for all I know.

- The author could have helped the reader by providing the original Quatrain or quote from Nostradamus before the supposed 'analysis'.

- Some sections of the book refer to no Quatrain or reference to Nostradamus. What was the author referring to in these sections?

- This is a line from the introduction: "The book gives a *precise* vision of the future, with a rigor bodering on the quality of even scientific papers..." I have no idea how such a statement came be made about this book - there is nothing even close to scientific about it that I could see.

Overall I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone. Spend the money on a good meal or almost anything else besides this book.

1.0 out of 5 stars Blatant Rip-Off, August 20, 2007
This review is from: The Nostradamus Code: World War III (Paperback)
This piece of rubbish has surely been produced for suckers, and it has to be said that I'm one of them. Overpriced at 0$ absolutely not recommended. The worst book con I've ever come across, I'd be ashamed if I were Amazon for having the nerve to sell such ****. The only good thing to say about it is that it is soooooo small. A cynical delve into the metaphysical as a means of making a fast buck. Just don't go there.
NB. I was forced to give it 1 star, as a zero isn't available in the rating window - please do something about this, Amazon.

1.0 out of 5 stars Falsely advertised piece of garbage!, January 20, 2008
By
This review is from: The Nostradamus Code: World War III (Paperback)
I bought this book off the author's/publisher's web site before it was available on Amazon. The picture shown then was that of a 300 plus page hardcover book. What arrived was an 85 page paperback. I couldn't believe that the author/publisher would have the balls to falsely advertise a book to make it more appealing; they both should be put in jail. After reading the first few pages I could tell the author and editor (if edited at all) were idiots and the book was nothing but a scam to make a quick buck. I used it that evening to start a fire in my chiminea. Don't waste your time or money on this garbage like I did.
