4.0 out of 5 stars Double documentary....
This disc contains two documentaries:- The first is a 58 minute 1994 documentary on Nostradamus himself and interpretations of his prophecies, containing various quality newsreel footages of his 'hits and misses'. The second documentary is from The Nine channel Australia and lasts a very interesting 87 minutes, with an excellant commentary on prophets and visionaries...

1.0 out of 5 stars 3rd rate documentary
Avoid this poorly made documentary. In 1981 Warner Brother released a film produced by David L. Wolper staring Orson Welles called, "The Man Who Saw Tomorrow." Unfortunately this film is not available on DVD and in currently out of print on VHS. "Nostradamus: His Life and Prophecies" is a dubbed and edited version of, "The Man Who Saw Tomorrow." This review is from: Nostradamus: His Life and Prophecies (DVD)
This disc contains two documentaries:- The first is a 58 minute 1994 documentary on Nostradamus himself and interpretations of his prophecies, containing various quality newsreel footages of his 'hits and misses'. The second documentary is from The Nine channel Australia and lasts a very interesting 87 minutes, with an excellant commentary on prophets and visionaries over the past few centuries and their "insights, predictions, warnings and hopes for the future". Both are very engrossing and entertaining, and are an excellant addition to any video documntary library. I gave four stars as the Nostradamus video picture quality is somewhat lacking - although the material covered more than makes up for this.

Unfortunately this film is not available on DVD and in currently out of print on VHS. "Nostradamus: His Life and Prophecies" is a dubbed and edited version of, "The Man Who Saw Tomorrow." Orson Welles has been removed. The footage by David L. Wolper has also been removed. The moody and spooky atmosphere is gone. What a pity! To make matters worse the producers of this DVD used a poor quality copy of, "The Man Who Saw Tomorrow" the color is faded and the picture is out of focus. Track down and buy, "The Man Who Saw Tomorrow" it's worth it.

Audio and picture are not good. The sound in the background don't let you hear well and the picture is of bad quality. I would like to exchange it for another video. If this is possible, please let me know what other choices I might have.

Thanks.
