5.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating book with surprise ending
I have a small library on Nostradamus and this one sits on the end as it has the oddest ending. I won't reveal it, but as you read through this well organized, easy to understand and well-translated book you'll take a big breath and wonder. 1.0 out of 5 stars Outrageous
This book is really stupid and ridiculous; fill with arbitrary and fussy conclusions; its english translations on the Nostradamian quatrains are infantile and absurd.
Ah well! I feel me swindled.

Everything discussed is well documented and hard to deny. Our author gives an interesting and believable take on Nostradamus's quatrains that adds not only to the intrigue but another dimension to his writings. Worth reading for a well-rounded understanding of Nostradamus....it's the last chapter that'll throw you for a loop!

I believe Ottavio Cessare is a bit full of himself and I truly believe the book could have been better.

Translation is a bit weird, maybe it doesn't help get the full essence of the original writing.

All in all, it's a fun quick read, but I still believe it could have been better.

1.0 out of 5 stars Author not qualified to interpret lost manuscript, January 5, 2009
This review is from: Nostradamus: The Lost Manuscript: The Code That Unlocks the Secrets of the Master Prophet (Paperback)
The Lost manuscript and theories of it are very interesting. However this author is not qualified to interpret this manuscript and therefore new books which cover the lost manuscript are needed. And this author should have not left out some of the most important artwork of the lost manuscript, ( and in other cases, give poor reproductions of key details in the existing manuscript's artwork), which would have shown how the worthless conclusions of this book, could be challenged by other more obvious conclusions. The current DVD available on the lost manuscript, and the Nostradamus 2012 special, as well, would have to compliment this pathetic book, to show artwork not covered ---and hence other possible interpretations!!!! I would have given this book a negative-star rating, as it clearly deserves less than a one-star rating, but unfortunately negative star ratings are not allowed by Amazon, which does it's best to provide what is available to the public ----but, as I have already stated, should not include this pathetic book, unless one needs a laugh ---which again I state, needs to be replaced with modern alternatives, which do not selectively leave artwork out of them, so as to push pathetic interpretations at best!!!! ( Now, I am not stating that the conclusions, which obviously are tainted by personal opinions at best, in the DVD are perfect either, but by presenting and focusing on more of the key artwork involved, one can at least decide on a better interpretation, if they like: Because at least the DVD gives the material one would need to draw any sound conclusions in the first place!!!! )
Mike.

This book is very interesting. However, I do not understand a lot of the clues Nostradamus is giving. I am Catholic so I understand the role of the Popes, but after all this time, for a major incident to happen to a Pope is one of the story threads. I think it is a metaphor for religious faith in our time. Western countries, especially those in Europe, have seen a sharp decline in church attendance and religious observances. The United States has declined somewhat, but not like Western Europe. Having said this, I think we better all get going back to church! Like I said, I wish I was smarter.
