4.0 out of 5 stars cute silly mysteries
This was my first experience with one of these 3 in 1 reprints but someone recommended these 3 mysteries and said to look for them in this one volume. First these are fairly short and there's really no character or romance development. The couples know they're made for each other pretty much instantly and that fact just has to sorta be taken as, well, fact! The entire 3...

4.0 out of 5 stars cute silly mysteries, June 20, 2010
This was my first experience with one of these 3 in 1 reprints but someone recommended these 3 mysteries and said to look for them in this one volume. First these are fairly short and there's really no character or romance development. The couples know they're made for each other pretty much instantly and that fact just has to sorta be taken as, well, fact! The entire 3 books cover a few years at least and the whole premise is totally silly. This small town's claim to fame is from having the largest field mouse, Maxie, who's now stuffed. Some in the town practically worship this stupid mouse..well not worship exactly but they're so attached to it...kids in 4th grade have to recite the entire genus, species, etc to go on to 5th grade..parades in Maxie's honor..an entire museum built for this mouse..you get the picture. the humor is totally silly..almost stupid I'd say but hey it works! I was happy reading this and laughed..just suspend all belief and enjoy and these will be cute quick reads :-) also characters show up in the next books (the main ones that is)I'm glad this author started writing full length novels with her humor.

Mary Connealy's stories are delightful, if similar. But love them all. They make me smile, and sometimes there's just not much to smile about otherwise.
