Book Description

You can get a FREE copy of this manifesto on my website: talesofwork.com

Three years ago I lost 132 pounds and it was amazing, last year I gained it all back and then some. There were a lot of things I wanted to change but didn’t know where to start or how to do it.

This manifesto is the start of my journey; this is my declaration to the world that I’m making all the changes that I’ve been putting off for far too long.

This is a short (10 pages) prequel to the book that chronicles my entire journey and gives you a plan you can use to radically change your life. Once you’re done with this manifesto, see how to make changes that will benefit the rest of your life. The book is “The Difference Between Living and Existing: A Nine Month Plan To Radically Change Your Life”

1.0 out of 5 stars I think I missed something March 17, 2012

Perhaps the Kindle version of this book is different than what the other reviewers read?

I found this book very short, each chapter containing 1 to 2 pages of lists and nothing motivational about it. Example from chapter 1: "When I was young I ate more because people told me I was too skinny. Now that I'm older I eat less because people tell me I'm too fat. This is over! History will not repeat itself; I'm making radical changes in my life for ME!" The author never goes into the changes he has made to address anything. It reads more like a laundry list of things we all have been confronted with in life; bad habits, people's interference of what we should do, voices in our head making us doubt ourselves. The problem is, he never states what he personally did to address the list.

I think my own journal is more inspiring than this and at least reads more fluidly.

1.0 out of 5 stars A piece of junk April 7, 2012

This is a 'rant' by a totally untalented 'author' who conned several thousand people into buying this pointless connection of words. Using 'blog' connections he got this piece of junk recommended on the 48 days website. He should put away his pen, refund everyone's money, then go and take a writing course!

1.0 out of 5 stars A list of cliches February 14, 2014
The author made a list of every motivational saying that we've all heard a million times and called it his own manifesto. There's an explanation. He added a disclaimer "This is a work of fiction." It definitely is!

I'm glad I got this for free. There's some talk going around the Wordpress community that a lot of what this guy says is "fiction"!

5.0 out of 5 stars Short, captivating and almost poetic! March 21, 2012

Wow!! This is my brother but I honestly didn't even know he felt this way! I'm younger so I've always looked up to him but who knew he wasn't happy. As with all his writing, he has one again inspired me! I know a lot of people think this way but they don't act on it(including myself). Stop letting your life slip by. Be inspired like I am and remember, "time waits for NO ONE!"

Kimanzi Constable makes the reader confront their own failed dreams by giving a brief but emotional testimony of his own journey to make changes in his life. We all have dream and we all have things we want changed in our lives: weight, career, home, family, education...you name it. We all have areas we WANT to change and we all have areas we have FAILED to changed. Kimanzi Constable helps the reader come to terms with the excuses we tend to make for failing and not continuing to try. He urges the reader to keep trying and to not give up as he allows the reader to see inside his own struggles to overcome.
