This is a very good product but there are a few out there that are better suited to the slightly more experienced singer. "Vehicular Vocalises" by The Washington Vocal Consortium also offers good technical explanations for everything so you feel like a good voice teacher is right in the car with you. Their booklet is also alot more detailed and the tape is longer.

This isn't so much a "book" as an audio cassette/CD filled with vocal exercises. The exercises are easy to follow, fun to do, and fun to sing along with. If you are looking for a way to motivate yourself to do those vocal exercises you know you should be doing--this is the way. It's a great warmup to sing on the way to rehearsal or to make better use of your time while you're stuck in traffic! When you do the exercises, you feel like you're really singing, not just practicing scales, so you're more likely to stick with it. This package is used by a lot of Sweet Adelines for warmups.

Good fun and easy to follow. You will feel silly to start with doing the exercises but persevere and they will make a difference . Having recently joined a choir , this is a good introduction to warming up your voice , enunciation , use of the breath etc.

Yes, you can find much more extensive and detailed programs for voice training, but considering that this is only one CD - it is very good and enjoyable to work with. It will liberate your voice and you'll have fun singing along.

The CD consists of 8 songs for training different aspects of your voice. They are recorded once with singers and then the same songs are provided as instrumentals.

I returned to music school late in life and had my first voice lesson at 43 yrs of age. I utilized this program in my car during my commute and my voice teacher couldn't believe how quickly my voice grew. I can't say enough good things about this program. I've used it so many times for practice or warm-up that I can sing the songs in my sleep but I'm still receiving dividends from it. I ordered another one today for a friend who asked for some help!

As a high school teacher, I use this CD with my students. It gives them something different and fun to do while improving their vocal techniques. This system is recommended by the Sweet Adeline Society.

What a fun CD! I use it daily while commuting to work, and not only is it a lot of fun to sing along with, but my voice is already getting better after only a week of using it! At first, I wasn't able to sing the really high pitches in some of the exercises, but it's getting easier, and I feel more comfortable when I sing other songs now, too. Plus, it really helps to warm up my voice. I have to do a lot of talking in my job, and used to frequently have a sore throat at the end of the day - not anymore. I guess I never realized how important it was to warm up your voice even for speaking, and this CD makes the warm-up easy and fun to do. Even my kids want to sing along when I drive them to school.

I got this product from another company thinking amazon.com didn't have it. I shoulda known better. This is the best vocal training you can ever give yourself while you're on the road or just getting over a cold which makes you lose your voice. You should do these exercises once the speaking voice comes back. It not only improves your voice but the focus on doing each exercise correctly takes away the stress of what you're supposta do. There is no parameter for this exercise. You can do what's being played or a different part altogether. This is what the exercises are past the lesson description.

You can even do the whole thing with a Guide Horn after mastering the Vocals Only. It's the best thing I've ever slipped into my car. I may have had the cassette tape back when it first came out in 1991 and I may have looked for this CD for the last 16 years, but I've found it and the wait was worth it. It's helped me get my voice back and strengthen it. This is the best $19.95 you'll ever spend. Good luck.

The CD arrived in short order and was exactly what I anticipated. For the avid singer or vocalist, amateur or pro, this is a neat recording which will add variety to your warm ups.

A fun, intelligent and instructive program. The vocalist/author loves her craft and shares her inspiration. Excellent orchestration to voclize with, solo and with the singer. Highly recommended by an experienced voice coach.
