Biography

t.A.T.u. is a Russian pop duo (Elena Katina and Yulia Volkova) formed in 1999 when they were both teenagers. They arguably became more famous for their ruthlessly spun sexual controversy as for their music.

Their first album 200 km/h in the Wrong Lane (2002) was the first album from Russian artists to achieve international gold classification. It spawned the huge hit "All the Things She Said" and… Read more in Amazon's t.A.T.u. Store

5.0 out of 5 stars More of the title track, please., June 3, 2003

This review is from: Not Gonna Get Us / All the (Audio CD)
While many t.A.T.u fans have been captivated by their world wide hit single 'All The Things She Said' I believe it's time to move onto. So what could t.A.T.u possibly have in store for us next? Will it live up to the first single? We'll see.

Radio Version:

The single starts off with the edit of the original version. It's a bit shorter than the album version, however, it shouldn't really make a difference to most people. Unlike you like the drum solo at the end, like I do.

Dave Aude's Extension 119 Vocal Edit

Dave Aude is the guy behind the extension remixes for the debut single, and here he comes again remixing the next single for t.A.T.u. This remix is good if not better than the remix for All The Things She Said. While many remix fans tend to like different sounding remixes, Dave Aude stuck more closely to the original and keep it's techno beat going on. A good remix, unfortunately it's presented only in edit form and not in extended version which I thought should be including in any decent single.

All The Things She Said 'DJ MONK after skool special'

With only two versions of the title track, we're presented with bonus remixes of the debut single. This track is basically a dance instrumental track that I'm sure most people wouldn't enjoy unless that person likes house music. The music sounds good however, it does not feature all the vocals. In fact, only 'I've Lost My Mind' is repeated throughout the song. Kinda boring, but fun at the same time.

All The Things She Said 'BLACKPULKE Mix'

This mix is interesting, but certainly not the best. Best avoidable because of it's moaning and groaning during one part of the song, that's reminiscent to a pornographic movie. It has an electro clash type of music, either fast nor slow. But somewhat danceable.

Not Gonna Get Us 'VIDEO'

Like many t.A.T.u Cds, it has a music video included for 'Not Gonna Get Us.' I like this addition because it makes the single worthwhile. A great music video, very different from 'All The Things She Said.'

Overall, I feel this CD is only for hardcore fans. Casual fans and the like, should keep away from singles and just enjoy their full lenght album '200 KM/H IN THE WRONG LANE.'

Remix lovers are advised to purchase the single if you like the songs enough, but I feel there should have been more remixes for the title track instead of two remixes of the previous single.

yes! this is what I expect from a great group like tATu on a single CD. You get 4 tracks on this one and the CD includes the "not gonna get us" quicktime video that you can play on your computer. The first track is the regular version of "not gonna get us". The second track is a slightly more dance and bass version of "not gonna get us" that I love. The third track is a very techno type beat that is supposed to be "all the things she said", but I dont see it. I didnt like the 3rd track to much, but the last track is the best! Its a really awesome slow bass remix of all the things she said. It sounds excellent and includes some sexual panting at the end. Im not sure if the panting was tATu or something they dubbed in from a porno, but you dont want it up to loud if anyone is home. With those tracks combined with a great video of "not gonna get us", this CD is a must have and a great addition to the full alblum.

I can understand both russian and english, so i really get the best of both worlds with this group.

The cool thing about thier music, is even if you cant understand the russian version of the songs, they still sound great.

Ive been listening to this group since 2000, when there werent even big in russia.
