This review is from: Not Guilty (Audio CD)
Rev. John P. Kee and The New Life Community Choir has put together a powerful release that will really minister to all gospel lovers. Not Guilty features over 130 minutes of music testifying of how all are acquitted simply through the faith of God. This 2CD set is filled with a lot of new song that has a new formatted sound from the previous sounds of The New Life Community Choir. This CD is a must have because John message throughout the CD is regardless of the crime, JESUS did the time!

5.0 out of 5 stars Trials of Triumph!, November 11, 2000
This review is from: Not Guilty (Audio CD)
What more can I say about the musical ministry of Pastor John P. Kee other than that it is truly a blessing to this world. This double album is amazing. Twenty-eight songs and over two hours of Spirit-filled ballads and get your dance on praise & worship songs. This is without doubt the best value for the dollar I've seen in music in a long time. "Not Guilty" will bless your life.

My favorite song on the album has to be "Jesus", which is a beautiful ballad which expresses how one's life changes when Jesus comes into their heart, it was dedicated to my pastor Bishop Kenneth Ulmer at Faithful Central Bible Church in Inglewood, CA! All the songs on the album are dedicated to a certain pastor or person as you can see in the album notes booklet which includes themed photos and lyrics to all the songs. I also love "I Do Worship (remix)", it signifies the importance of worshiping the Lord. You can feel the Spirit flowing throughout this song. It'll provoke you to start worshiping the Lord on the spot.

"I Believe" goes back to the old school where the only music was the stomping of the foot and the clapping of hands. The chorus is resonating filled with faithful belief. "Dance" will make you get on your feet and do simply that with a caribbean rhythmic vibe. "Simple Song" expresses that the most meaningful and important things in life do not have to be complexed. Everyone has their own simple song that can give the highest praise to the Lord, and through that praise and worship they exhalt Him. "Not Guilty (Partakrew Mix)" has a soulful feel to it with the computer vocalizing of Roger Trautman Jr. "What's The Verdict?" is powerful and truly off the chain while breaking those shackles. The song samples "Wobble Wobble" by the 504 Boyz and I must say that John P. Kee's rapping skills put Master P to shame. I'm sure if they had a video for it, it'll be blowing up MTV! This album shows that God's people rule all and everything they put their mind to! This is an amazing groundbreaking double cd that will gain new John P. Kee and The New Life Community Choir fans, while being a true treasure for all their old ones. God is Love!

This is one of John P. Kee's biggest albums. I've just revewed the samples that were provided by amazon.com. From what I've heard, this is his best album yet. An album with 28-songs on it is awesome. Pastor John P. Kee has an anointing for music that straight from God. This is an album that everyone needs to get. If you don't get it for yourself, get it for someone else. May God bless the reader and you also John p. Kee and New Life Community Choir.†

excellent music, enchanting vocals, good variety. John is sometimes a bit unique in his 'shock' music. Overall very good. I'd buy it!

5.0 out of 5 stars To God Be The Glory, November 19, 2000

To anyone who has followed John's ministry as long as I have will without a doubt say that the Spirit is at work in these songs. If you're from the old school or the new school you will truly be blessed beyond measure with these songs. One word to express the entire production of "Not Guilty" is WOW! I'm sure a lot of fasting and praying went into this project. So we hear the blessing of answered prayer through people who are willing to put God first in all that they do. To God Be The Glory.

5.0 out of 5 stars The NLCC's at the Top of Their Game, October 26, 2000

This review is from: Not Guilty (Audio CD)
Rev. John and his world famous choir are back with a thunderous bang! This album easily puts an exclamation point at the end of "Greatest gospel movement of all time". This album can easily be put in the same category as "Wait on Him" and "Show Up". Once again John does what he does best when he combines old hand clapping, foot stomping, testimony service music with new age, baggy jean wearing, fast rapping, funcky baseline tracks for the young folk of the church. I enjoy every track from the opening skit to the final "Thank you for Listening". My Personal favorites include the funcky single "Right Here", the majestic sound of John's voice on the soothing "I Do Worship Remix", I love listening to the NLCC tell you that the great one abides and resides in all of us on "Greatful". On disc two an instant classic is the no beat, hand clapping, foot stomping " I Believe". John is at his vocal best on "Simple Song" where he gives shout outs to such Gospel greats as Fred Hammond, Hezekiah Walker, and Kirk Franklin. And finally do you believe John samples rapper Master P's "Wobble Wobble" on the inner-city oriented track "What's the Verdict". If I could give this album 10 stars I would, It's a must buy!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good album..., February 13, 2004

I don't listen to John P Kee much but I went to a friend's shop and just decided to listen to it. I HAD to buy it!!! "I Do Worship" is one of my fave tunes. "Dance" is heavy but my real fave tune is "Breakout". That tune is mad!!!! The only thing that annoys me bout that tune is the drums, too overpowering and flat. But the album is good and encouraging, I like it. Any JP Kee fan should get this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Real Good Music, September 10, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Not Guilty (Audio CD)
This is a good compilation of music by one of my favorite artists. It's not the best release that I've purchased by this artist, but it's still great soul-stirring music. Not Guilty was certainly the perfect name for this collection. The only thing he's guilty of is being a great artist and producer. Rev. Kee's songs are always spiritually deep, yet not overbearing. In my opinion, Kirk Franklin and other clones still can't touch the anointing that comes through this man's music. I love this double release. Great job, JP!!
