Book Description

May 3, 2011
Slavery still exists--here.
Tens of millions of humans live in bondage worldwide, tens of thousands in the US.
As seen recently on Fox News, Dillon Burroughs and Charles Powell bring awareness about what’s happening in our nation and world. The book and DVD teach about:
- Human trafficking
- Sexual exploitation
- Forced labor
- Agricultural slavery
Not in My Town answers questions and promotes discussion about the slavery system that crisscrosses Atlanta, Orlando, Las Vegas, New York, California, Texas, North Carolina, Haiti, Amsterdam, India, Cambodia, and beyond.
The authors’ gripping journey shocks but also motivates and provides resources to equip new generations of abolitionists from all corners of society and diverse worldviews who share the common call to stop injustice.

5.0 out of 5 stars HEART-WRENCHING August 8, 2011
Format:Paperback
In "Not in My Town," Dillon Burroughs and Charles Powell share graphic stories of the victims of human trafficking and modern day slavery that are heart-wrenching. Everyone needs to read this book, see the video, share it with someone else, and choose at least one of the suggested ways to help fight human trafficking.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thought-Provoking July 17, 2011
Format:Paperback
I still find it hard to comprehend that there is slavery and human trafficking in today's world. While I know it to be true, my heart just doesn't want to accept it. In this book the authors not only expose this awful reality, but you gives you the tools to advocate for change in your sphere of influence. The book is well-written and thought provoking. It will change the way you interact with your world.
