The subject of this book has been a matter of debate for years. For whether man exists because of evolution or creation, it seems neither can be proven to everyone's satisfaction. We have no living witness to the event to vouch for the validity of either. If there were such a witness, even that testimony would likely be called into question. Both sides of the debate have some theoretical and statistical support for their side, but neither can state with certainty that their scenario as to the origin of man is right. It may be some time before this thorny question is finally resolved once and for all with absolute and irrefutable proof.
I will not present this material as a theologian, or a scientist, but as a layman presenting new ideas for consideration. What is intended here is to approach the subject in an entirely different light than has previously been the norm for trying to prove either side. One side has what many consider to be an unproven theory. They! often use terms such as we think, possibly, or maybe. The conclusive proof is not evident. The creation supporters must also rely on trust and belief, for once again, there seems to be insufficient evidence to support this side to everyone's satisfaction.
Instead of relying on theory or absolute faith, solid factual evidence will be presented to support the existence of a Creator. This evidence will show that man is the product of a great deal of detailed planning by a superior intelligence.
I only ask that the reader, after careful consideration of the material presented herein, answer these questions to his own satisfaction. For ultimately, it is of no real matter to others how an individual thinks regarding this debate. It is for each and every person to decide for himself, or herself, based upon the evidence presented. The reader, after studying the points expanded upon here, need only ask; "Is the theory of evolution logical and within reason?" Or, does the evidence weigh against it to such a degree that it would be impossible in your own judgment?
We will explore the technical marvel that is man, with his highly complex systems such as the brain and eyesight. Man is gifted with amazing abilities that are all too often taken for granted. We will examine simple abilities such as just driving the car to the store, and the more complex skills of an NBA basketball player. The mental abilities of men and women in the arts and sciences demonstrate that man is in a class of his own. The complexities of these physical and mental abilities expose for us some secrets that may be useful in finding the answer to the origin of man.
I will spend considerable time discussing the comparisons of man's form and physical design in relation to similar engineering functions and designs found in the machines that man has invented.
The complex systems that sustain life and provide function that we see in man's physical makeup were for the most part discovered within the last 100 years of human history. Prior to that time, very few ventured into the inner workings of the human body; therefore little was known about systems such as the eye and brain. The human body is like a machine that is sealed at the factory, with its high technology hidden from view. Modern medical science has been exposing these secrets at a rapid pace, with a zeal much like that of a team of aviation experts, examining the inner workings of a captured enemy fighter, to expose its technological secrets.
The technology represented in these systems was unknown by man until recent times, and yet obviously it has existed for thousands of years.
How then did these complex systems come into being? Did they develop as Charles Darwin theorized by "blind chance"?
Do the similarities in man's physical makeup and standard engineering practices have any meaning for us? Where could this high technology have come from? Who could have designed all these complex systems thousands of years ago?
We will also consider certain genetic and practical aspects of man, and how they may be pertinent in the consideration of the theory of evolution and natural selection. In the theory of evolution we have a multitude of animals and creatures with similarities, arranged in a manner that would appear that each one developed from its predecessor in a series. Because the results are complex, the theory allows that this must have taken millions of years. In these pages a different hypothesis will be given regarding these similarities. Could they indicate a parallel development instead of a series event? Once again, asking only that the reader decide for himself: Could this be? Is it logical?
In these writings, there is no gender or racial bias intended whatsoever by using the male gender term, "man," throughout. It is only a more simple term with which to present the material than trying to be "politically correct."
