I bought this book for my mom when she was coming to visit us in Los Angeles. She is NOT the "tourist" type so I thought this would be perfect for her. It turned out that it would really be more useful for a new resident than for anyone visiting for less than, say, a month. If I were going to a new city for a lengthy visit, I would definitely buy NFT, but I don't think it's quite right for someone coming for a shorter visit.

The title says it all. A great way to see and do things you'd want to do and see if you lived there. Also full of helpful hints regarding traffic.
