I'll never forget this book 26 years ago when I started to learn how to play the piano. Now it is the DH who wants lessons, followed by my 5 year old DD. Again, I turned to John Thompson's Note Speller to get them started. You don't even need to really know how to play the piano or read music to use this book. It is a great basis for further piano instruction..

My students hate this! I know the value and try to encourage them, but it makes music too much like school to them. Sorry to say, I don't use it very often because of this.
