4.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating, but absolutely MUST be open-minded!
I am not a faithful Gordon Michael Scallion follower, I don't even receive his newsletter, but I did find this book very interesting. Some things in this book are extremely difficult to swallow even though one keeps an open mind. I did find a lot of the material similar to Edgar Cayce. All in all it was a good read, it creates some shocking possible scenarios about...

3.0 out of 5 stars Interesting ideas but you need to suspend belief, January 5, 1998

This review is from: Notes from the Cosmos: A Futurist's Insights Into the World of Dream Prophecy and Intuition (Paperback)
This book is an interesting compendium of a modern prophet's ideas. The best part of the book is Scallion's story of how he became at first a reluctant and then a willing prophet. He is a leading proponant of the idea that the planet Earth will be subject to massive changes in the near term future. The book covers his ideas on how the cosmos operates, how he gets his visions and a description of the predicted earth changes. People who follow New Age ideas will find much familiar material but some new. For me, it took quite a suspence of belief to follow Scallion's ideas. The true believer may enjoy it more.

3.0 out of 5 stars For the Uninitiated it's a good read.Been there,done that., February 21, 1999

In the early seventies I was immersed in Edgar Cayce, Carl Jung, and Plate Tectonics which at that time was still theory. I understand where GMS is coming from, but I feel he is a bit short-sighted on Karma and the effects of our consciousness on the Cosmos. In the words of Viktor Frankl, "What is demanded of man is not,as some existential philosophers teach, to endure the meaninglessness of life, but rather to bear his incapacity to grasp its unconditional meaningfulness in rational terms.

1.0 out of 5 stars Gordon Michael Scallion is...., September 11, 2005
This review is from: Notes from the Cosmos: A Futurist's Insights Into the World of Dream Prophecy and Intuition (Paperback)
Although gordon Michael Scallion is a decent human being, like most self-discovered or self-proclaimed "prophets" in this day and age they usually modify predictions to fruition, ignore failed predictions and hail realized ones; and whats worse, many of the realized ones had a 50-50 chance of coming true. Of course something "bad" will eventually happen: the real prophet knows when EXACTLY. LOOK UP PREDICTIONS ON "GOOGLE" FOR SUCCESS RATE ON HIS GUESSES.

I truely enjoyed this book. It has answered alot of my questions, from what may happen in the future to questions about the past. You will need to have an open mind while reading this but it will open you heart and spirit to greater things. Also it is a great way to prepare for the coming changes in the earth.

5.0 out of 5 stars Interdimentional Bridge, May 12, 1998

Reading this book was a very wonderful experience! I read it in 2 weeks(300+ pages) where as many books I pick up I don't usually finish. GMS has a very exciting story about his Journey with Cosmic intelligence by his side. I felt definatly transformed to a state of conscioussness that was non-mundane, non-worldly. I guess it depends on where you are presently on your Path, however this book for me nourished me greatly and opened up new doors and windows to the spirit realm.

3.0 out of 5 stars A Good Read, July 4, 1999

If you have studied Edgar Cayce at all, there is not much new here but I always enjoy reading about someone's spiritual journey. A good primer to this book would be Church's "Edgar Cayce: The Story Of The Soul." I applaud Scallion for his courage and convictions although there is a strong sell for his newsletter.

This book tells the author's own experiences with information not normally available to us in our waking life. It is intriguing and plausible and well researched.

4.0 out of 5 stars It will make you think!!, June 27, 1998

This review is from: Notes from the Cosmos: A Futurist's Insights Into the World of Dream Prophecy and Intuition (Paperback)
I am a suscriber to Gorden Micheal Scallion newsletter and could not wait for the book to come out. I wait every month for his newsletter to come and read it all as soon as it does. This book will make you think, and scare you a little if you are a believer. I have read it 3 times now and I find that if I am drifting away from that way of thinking that I read it again and it let's me focus more clearly on things. And all you have to do is read the newspaper,or the book and see that what he is saying is true!!! Good and bad. A must read if you are concerned about the future of our planet!!
