I enjoy My Father's Daughter"; I like the easy breezy manner and personal comments. HOWEVER, I bought this as a gift along with MFD and found they are EXACTLY the same book, only slight differences and a new cover; pictures are even the same I am very annoyed that this was not explained by Amazon.

Okay to be honest when I first saw this book I thought ... here we go another celebrity tosser cashing in on her fame. Can you remember that last cookbook you used that an actor wrote? Lets face it expectations were low. Well I owe Mrs Paltrow an apology. This cookbook is fabulous. I've tried several recipes and they have all turned out brilliantly. Her chicken and dumpling recipe has become a new family favourite. There are a huge variety of recipes, lots of fish and vegetarian dishes if you are so inclined. Her duck ragu... divine. The lady can sing, act and most importantly COOK! brava

I bought this for my daughter who admires how Ms. Paltrow leads her life but I might keep it for myself. The recipes are fabulous, the photography is stunning and her love and appreciation of her father brought tears to my eyes! Just one tiny problem, the recipe quantities are in the metric system as this book was published in England.

I saw Gwenyth on the Ellen Show, and could not resist this cookbook. I have made a few of the recipes in it since I received it last month and they are simple, straight-forward and delicious!!! I have to admit, one aspect of measuring - meters vs ounces and pounds, threw me, but it is only for weight and coversion is easy once you know the formula...lol
They are also recipes I do not have in most of my other books, so it is nice to have "new" ideas presented to me, especially on those days I can't think of anything on my own! lol
It was a good choice to add to my culinary library. G
