3.0 out of 5 stars "Notes" being the operative word., February 17, 2006
This review is from: Notes from the Languedoc (Paperback)
According to the back cover blurb, this book is the best written on the Languedoc region of France. Not so. Though billed as a travel book, Notes is more aptly described as a collection of letters about Mr. Wright's personal experiences while living in the area. Lengthy anecodotes about sailing, biking, eating abound, while info about the Languedoc itself are sparse. OK as a memoir, not as a depiction of the region.
