Can't Believe No One Has Reviewed This One Yet.,

This album is actually quite phenomenal. It's catchy, and singer Stephanie Bohm's voice is almost hypnotic. One thing I haven't heard other reviewers mention are the punk influences, such as the likes of Interpol, The Strokes, Spoon, and The White Stripes. I suppose it's the softness in her voice and the elements of electronica that prevent people from noticing. Nevertheless, it creates a very unique, superbly memorable sound. I highly recommend this album. However, it's music is more subtle. Some may find the lack of personality in Bohm's voice unengaging, and the music itself comes across as largely apathetic. The album invites you to explore it's catchy melodies, yet keeps itself distant and inaccessible at the same time. Highlights: Scan The Ways, Outlined View, and Number One.

Ms. John Soda - Notes And The Like,

I think you could be forgiven if you mistake Ms. John Soda for Lali Puna; after all, they share the same label (the consistently good Morr Music) and the same philosophy of futuristic electronic pop. But on _Notes and the Like_, Ms. John Soda carves out its own identity, with the smooth classicalism on "A Nod on Hold" and "A Million Times." But they specialize in pure pop fun, such as the peppy "Hands" or the bouncy "Outlined View." If you can't live without guitars, then "Scan the Ways" will make your day. Stephanie Bohm alternates between spoken word (oftentimes processed) and singing, but her vocals match the proceedings well, especially the tinge of sadness on "Plenty Of." All pop should be this good.

this CD is awesome!!!! i found them by accident, but their entire CD is great, the seller got this CD to me real quick, a lot sooner than expected...anyways keep up the great work, i'll look forward in doing business with ImportCDs again
