I found this book very easy to read and understand, obviously written by an instructor who knows his trade. Well illustrated. Get a copy you won't be disappointed.

Extremely insightful book covering all aspects of water operations. The author clearly has many years of experience and the book is full of small pieces of wisdom and insight, some of which are far better learned in a book rather than in the air or on the water. Contains many helpful diagrams. Would be useful both to seasoned veterans and new pilots alike. Note: focuses almost exclusively on single engine floatplanes.

Burke really knows what he is talking about when it comes to seaplane flying. I always enjoy reading his articles in the SPA magazine too. Too bad he never got to be an airline pilot.
