5.0 out of 5 stars 3 awesome hard-core discs for the price of one, January 3, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Notes From Thee Real Underground 1 (Audio CD)
This one is for hard core fans. I bought this set at a live appearance of Bozo Porno Circus in Philadelphia. Just their tracks alone make this CD worth the price. If you love underground dance, you'll love this set. Flowers and machines and Bamboo crisis and BPC are all from the same record label, they are all examples of bands that make music because they love it.

As I stated elsewhere, the music on all "Notes From Thee Real Underground" comp CDs is hand-picked by Martin Atkins (Pigface, Damage Manual, etc.). Thus, the comps consist of industrial, noise, experimental, and "weirdness." Caveat Emptor!

Steal them from your rivethead friends.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Notes From Thee Real Underground 1 (Audio CD)
I wanted to open myself up to some artists I hadn't really listened to before, and that played into the industrial/goth rock kind of scene. I do this quite frequently where I'll purchase a compilation CD, and I've never really gone wrong with it. This one; however, was just not my cup of tea. I really liked "Evil Force In My Pants" by Louie Fontaine just because of the odd music, and there were a couple other songs that weren't too bad, but they didn't catch me enough to get any more into the artist's work aside from what I have on this CD. All in all, the other reviews are right, this is for hardcore fans who really know the artists.
