This review is from: Notes From The Underground (Audio CD)
Elliott Murphy has been on the scene since 1973. He is mostly unknown in the US, having moved from the east coast to Paris in 1989. He has a decent following in Europe and does many concerts there.

It is unusual for an artist to improve in the later years of his career, but that is exactly what Elliott Murphy has done. His output since 1998's Beauregard has been outstanding. Head and shoulders above much of what else is out there. Intelligent lyrics (he was once touted as the "new Dylan"), fine musicianship and a great showman. Lead guitarist Olivier Durand is a large part of the sound.

Do yourself a favor and check out Elliott Murphy. Notes from the Underground would be a good place to start. "Lost and Lonely" is very radio-friendly, but since it is actually GOOD, you likely won't hear it on commercial radio. You will be wanting more after listening to this album, I guarantee it!
