This review is from: Notes for a Young Painter (Paperback)
Hiram Williams' book NOTES FOR A YOUNG PAINTER is mis-titled because of the author's excessive modesty. I have been painting for fifteen years following four years of study at a certified art school plus two years of mentoring by an established painter of some local renown. This book is an excellent reference volume for all painters at every stage of their careers. Although out of print and a collectors' item now, available only at prices about $100, many good used copies are available at modest prices: a good investment for serious painters. Above the technical stuff you learned in art school.
