For anyone that watches American Idol, Carmen was a top 10 finisher on the second season of AI. She is amazing and I have WAITED for the CD to come out. The whole Cd is great. My favorites are: "Happy", "Shine" & "Love Will Wait". Not only did Carmen Co-Write 3 songs, but some of the most underrated singers in Nashville Co-Wrote on the Cd. Katrina Elam and Sarah Buxton each have a song and Kristyn Osborn of SheDaisy has a song on it. All in all it really is a gem. If you are a Kelly Pickler fan and liked what she did on her first CD, then this one will BLOW YOU AWAY.

Every song on this CD is great. If you like country music, this CD is a must-have. I've listened to it in my car constantly since receiving it, and it just gets better and better. Give this girl a listen. You won't be disappointed. Congratulations Carmen!

We're all spoiled today by downloading a track from artist "A" and another from aritst "B" to create the perfect CD. And, in truth, it is rare to find an album where every track is good. But this is that rare album!

When I drop this CD into my car CD changer I just never hit the "next" button, but often actually hit the "repeat." While some songs, like "Your Love" or "Happy" have that upbeat hook, others are quieter, deeper and heart felt. Almost all evoke fond personal memories.

But "Gather Me Up," which I understand from another reviewer here was written by Rasmusen herself, is simply stunning. What a beautiful song. If you like the music and styling of Alison Krauss, your going to love this particular song and this entire album.

While you can download an individual track or two, I recommend you purchase the entire album. It'a a rare great album filled with songs you'll love.

Country is big these days. What with contemporary country girls like Carrie and Martina and Reba rocking things up in the scene, sometimes all that is needed is some good ol' soft country sounds.

She doesn't power through her songs (though she could), but instead brings her own flavor to it, a gentle touch, a harmonious sound, and tons of strong emotion, resulting in an album that is unique and tasteful and catchy.

Take a listen to the first single, Nothin' Like The Summer. Impressive debut, and it is set to go far.

I enjoyed Carmen on American Idol so long ago, but I was quite suspicions of all the 5-star ratings here. Clearly Carmen Rasmusen fans had invaded and left their mark.

The good news:
- This is a solid offering with a couple gems. "Nothin' Like The Summer" has a "When the Star Go Blue" (Corrs version) like chorus and I just can't get enough of that. "Keep Me Forever Falling" is simple and beautiful.
- No yodeling or modulation that plagued the American Idol performances. Yea!

The bad news:
- Not edgy or inventive if that's what you're looking for.

I listen to a lot of music, and I like to find albums that are good overall. Albums that I can pop in and enjoy through the entire disc or on shuffle without getting any bad song bombs. Albums where I don't feel like I paid for one or two song. They are actually pretty rare and this is one of them.

There is no way I can give this album 5 stars. That's reserved for albums that are true masterpieces. It's a solid 4 stars and far better than most of the Idol albums I've heard.

I loved it from the minute I started listening to it. Can't wait for the next album.

This is the debut full-length album from former American Idol contestant Carmen Rasmusen. It is a strong contemporary country release and includes three songs by Rasmusen herself. Most of the tracks are upbeat songs about young love. My favorite songs are Silly Me (a song of heartbreak written by Sarah Buxton), Gather Me Up (a soft acoustic piece, written by Rasmusen, about young love), and Spend That Money (a humorous track about courting a material girl, which is an audience participation piece in Rasmusen's live show).

I have been waiting for this CD for forever! Its brilliant! If you like Carmen at all I'd buy it. And if you've never heard her and like country music I'd also buy it. The songs are so cute and Carmen's voice is so unique. I'm on my 4th time in a row listening to it. Silly Me and Stranded are my favorites. The lyrics are really good! But I also was disapointed to see how long it would take amazon to ship it so i canceled my order and had to buy it at Borders. Now i'm a major carmen fan but anybody can enjoy this CD! A lotta the songs are really catchy and uptempo. And the slow ones are really pretty!

After waiting a long time between Carmen's EP and this full length cd, I had almost forgotten her....boy oh boy am I glad I didn't! I won't go into major detail except to say that if you want fun, well sung, produced, etc. modern country/pop music, buy this cd! It's awesome! Also, it is taking Amazon between 1-2 weeks to ship it! I bought it today at Border's for $12.99 and canceled my order! Buy it elsewhere where you can get it now!;-)

A incrediable cd that you will want to listen over and over again. I am suprised that it has not become that popular yet. A wonderful collection of great singing from Carmen.
