I would've given it a full 5 stars if werent for the fact that most long time Guetta fans will be a bit disappointed.
If youre a long time house lover, look no further because youll feel betrayed with his new cd, full of more pop and hip hop elements.
However, any casual listener or pop lover (like me) will have a blast with this new record! Its full of promising top 40 hits and makes a good party mix.

Nothing But The Beat starts out with the two quick hit singles, "Where Them Girls At" (featuring Flo Rida and Nicki Minaj) and "Little Bad Girl" (featuring Taio Cruz and Ludacris). These two party jams and gems definetely make this CD, theyll be spun the most. Track 3 is the catchy yet easily forgettable "Turn Me On" (featuring, you guessed it, princess Nicki Minaj). Next is a Snoop Dogg remix originally produced by David Guetta, mostly instrumentl and might please original DG fans a little more. (Oh yeah, its called "Sweat"). Track 5, "Without You" (featuring Usher) is a definite highlight that no type of music listener will resist. Great vocals and touching lyrics. Tracks 6 and 7 are what will really piss off long time Guetta fans. Titled "Nothin Really Mattters"(featuring will.i.am.) and "I Can Only Imagine" (featuring Chris Brown and Lil Wayne). Although Chris's singing is a nice touch, both tracks are heavily auto-tuned and take part in the new hip hop/dance craze. I like them, but most wont. The next song, "Crank It Up" (featuring Akon) is worthy for a one time listen. Otherwise its more of an annoyance hearing it. Track 9, "I Just Wanna F.", (featuring Timbaland and Dev) is a collab of both Guetta's and Timbaland's mixing. VERY ANNOYING. Sounds nothing like DG, more like Missy-era beats. Avoid It, its the only song here I have to say is just TRASH.

For the hardcore Guetta fans out there, this album seems to offer a little bit of everything for everyone. Disc 1 includes the poppy collaborations we're familiar with over the span of the last few albums but disc 2 offers an awesome set assisted by Afrojack for a energetic music riot. If I had one gripe it might be the song "Repeat" with Jessie J (but this could be because I don't entirely like her music to begin with) but Jennifer Hudson's vocals on "Night of Your Life" are fantastic. Dev also gets in on the action with Timbaland, Justin Timberlake and Afrojack to produce a fun, Dev-typical song. If you like David Guetta already, you need this album. If you're just starting to like electronic music with hip-hop influences, you'll probably benefit from getting this album. Its not Tiesto or Armin Van Buren by any stretch of the imagination, but it also doesn't disappoint.

Honestly, the CD is not that great. His last album, One Love, really grew on me, but this one, I just find myself skipping track after track until I give up. It's a shame becuase he has some great people on this album: Sia, Dev, Jennifer Hudson, etc. Jennifer and Sia's song are Okay at best. I wouldn't recommend it, cause I didn't find anything outstanding one here. Too bad.

Vinyl record sounds great. Sounds richer than the radio. Still digital though. I've listened to it several times and it's growing on me. I skip the "coy" song and the "without you" song. How hard is it to enunciate while singing slow lyrics? Say "Without you," not "Withou Choo." 1st track is the best. Sounds full and bassy on vinyl. All the techno sounds of I just wanna F come together very well. Lots of rhythm and lyrics in a small space. 2nd disc is like a freebie. You don't hear it on the radio and it's awesome. I hope David Guetta releases more vinyl. Reminds me a bit of the Black Eyed Peas double album The Beginning and Far East Movement.

It was the Summer of 2011 when I first started hearing some of these songs on the Top 40 countdown. So, hear I am, almost THREE years later, buying & reviewing THIS album.

1. "Where Them Girls At"...I first this song in the Summer of 2011. It's an okay song, but it isn't my favorite.

2. "Little Girl Bad"...I vaguely remember hearing this song. It's pretty good & I do like it.

3. "Turn Me On"...The FIRST time that I heard this song, was around 5:30 a.m., on December 31, 2011. Then @ 8:00 a.m., I listened to the YEAR END Countdown for 2011. "Turn Me On" went well into July 2012, on the Top 40 Countdown. This song is good & powerful & I love it.

4. "Sweat"...I love this song a lot. Musically, it contains parts of a 1992 song, that I used to know, called "Don't You Want My Love"., which was ALSO a GREAT song in it's time (1992).

5. "Without You"...This song is nice. I first heard this song in the Autumn of 2011 & it went well into 2012, on the Top 40 charts.

6. "Nothing Really Matters"...I love This song a lot, too. This album's TITLE, "Nothing But The Beat" is mentioned, a few times, in this song.

7. "I Can Only Imagine"...I love THIS song very very much & it's my top FAVORITE song on this album. I remember this song from the Late Summer of 2012, on the TOP 40 Countdown.

8. "Crank It Up"...This song is pretty good.

9. "I Just Wanna F"...This song has the SLOWEST beat, on this album. It's an okay song.

10. "Lunar"...This is the ONLY instrumental song on this album. It's pretty good & it's powerful.

11. "Night Of Your Life"...
