EXCELLENT book. It really drives home the point of how the lost desperately need to be saved and how we as Christians not only need to know what we believe, but how we need to LIVE it. One meaningful statement (of many) that stuck with me was that "The unsaved have no other way of knowing Christ except through the testimony of what believers are -- the salt of the earth and the light of the world."
This book was remarkable in that in gave me so much to think about and process, it took me a long time to get through it. It is well worth reading, as I have found it has helped me focus on making choices that will glorify God, and knowing that the way I act and the things I say can either attract or repel someone from wanting to have a personal relationship with Christ. Nearly every statement is backed up with multiple scripture references; it is truly a book worthy of study!

I do not understand why this book is not very popular and the last I looked is not even being sold on the GTY website. I have read 62 pages so far, and have really enjoyed this book. Its a great book for those serious about Soul Winning. But perhaps one major reason why this book is not popular is because many are not serious about evangelism, and those that are, do not believe in "Confrontational Evangelism" which is highlighted in this book. MacArthur is very Biblical, and unlike some other books on Evangelism, he does not teach or advocate in anyway a un-confrontive relational evangelism approach. Geisler recently published a book on Relational Evangelism and I have to disagree with his major premise, even though I respect the man. Well anyone wanting tips on evangelism, or is serious about soul winning, should buy this book, a great buy!

This is another great book by pastor and teacher John Macarthur. This will help people see how important it is to witness to others by the way we live our lives and with our speech. I have read several of John's books but this is his best by far! I highly recommend.

John MacArthur is one of the few biblically accurate teachers. His reputation for presenting the truth precedes him.
