Before Olivia there was Sandie.Sandie Shaw had a girlish voice with sophisticated personal style, that fit perfectly into the mid to late pop 60's pop scene.Chestnuts like "Girl don't come",and the San Remo pop festival winner "Puppet on a string. These were just some of her hits.In the late 80's she made a comeback but was not as successful as her first 60's outings, even with Morrisey ushering her into that late 80's alternative rock scene.Sandie seemed to be the archetypal 60's chanteuse.
She was a great Bacharach David interpreter.

She was fresh, modern, feminine and burst on the scene with "Always something there to remind me".
This compilation shows off her emotional and stylish ways. It's a great collection of the girl with bare feet that heralds from England. She made the rounds with the British invasion scene and stood strong in the spotlight. These 100 songs(or so)are a testament to her career in music.
She reminds you who did it first-before Olivia Newton John, who seemed to have the same pipes sans the complicated emotional range.
