We have a chapter of The Daughters of the King at our Episcopalian church. We meet monthly, and "Let Nothing Disturb You" is the second of the the "30 Days with a Great Spiritual Leader Series" that we have done. The first we did was "All Will Be Well" about Julian of Norwich. The format of these books suits our needs very well, as each member can use the book in their daily devotionals on their own schedule, and we usually spend two months on a book. We like this series very much, and will probably keep going until we have read all of them.

Caroline Myss did a great job of synthesizing St. Theresa of Avila's philosophy of life into 30 short readings, a quote for each day, and an evening prayer. It is a good way to begin to know the Saint and will encourage the seeker to read more of St. Theresa's writings.

I have given this book to many people - both spiritual beginners and those who are experienced in living a life of faith and prayer. All seem to appreciate these easy-to-follow daily meditations and comment that it helped them to renew and deepen their prayer life and relationship with God. Simple, yet profound!

This series, 30 Days with A Great Spiritual Teacher, is wonderful. Teresa of Avila's teachings, specifically, is a perfect way to spend quiet time each day in spiritual reflection. I remember the first time I went through the thirty day cycle, the prayers appeared to read as simple and ordinary. But as the days go on, you see that Teresa builds upon the thoughts in a way that is quite meaningful.
Teresa's mantra, "Let Nothing Disturb the Silence of this Night," is quite comforting and these intropective readings will easily touch your heart and soul.

This book is a good companion for the busy person wherever they are .... like a guidepost in a snowtorm .... a good introduction to the works of St. Teresa of Avila, The Interior Castle .... a daily aid for spiritual growth like the works of St. Jose Maria Escriva, such as The Way and the Daily Meditations of Blessed James Alberione ...

I've always liked the work of Carolyn Myss and had written a feature article on Teresa of Avila on my website [...] after winning the Interior Castle in a contest.
Although I am not religious per se somehow this really appealed to me and I began reading through each day on my i phone and following it up with a 10-15 meditation. The results have been amazing. I feel clearer, more connected with my soul purpose and much more in touch with the spirit of God in my life. This little gem of a book is worth so much more than what I paid, its changed my life.

This book is meant to free your spirit, not confine it. Just read very slowly and let it speak to your soul. When this happens, you are establishing a mood of serenity for your whole day. I never read any book like this as one of the most beloved spiritual guides. Its simple mantra helps us get through the day that illumines the journey to the center of our souls.

Carolyn myss is a new ager, considers herself a healer, and a medical intuitive. With that being said if she has anything to do with this book, in which she has by completing a forward, there is no way I'm purchasing this. Catholics, do not be lead astray by such thinking!
