5.0 out of 5 stars Magnum Opus, July 30, 2008
In response to the previous listner review, this album follows an artist's life in the span of a year or so, and follows the seasons of the year. It starts with a divorce (Autumn) with some down lyrics that fit with that type of experience and music being the only "friend" to help through that process. It moves through finding a new and true exciting love at Christmas and through the course of Spring and Summer love blossoms with the same wonder and mystery that nature does. It's a very straight forward concept, and some of the most raw personal writing you will find, that takes you through a personal cycle that mirrors the life cycle of nature. If nothing else, it's one person playing all the instruments and pouring his soul out for anyone to relate to and perhaps heal themselves through the hope that this record inspires. Any soulful listener should be able to appreciate that even if the music isn't dark enough for you. There will be more musical and lyrical heaviness to come from him, I am sure.
