5.0 out of 5 stars Nothing is Something, April 6, 2010

After almost a decade of hit and miss, mostly miss, with the record buying public, Janet slows it down and returns to a familiar place, Love. "Nothing," the theme song from "Why Did I Get Married Too?" is surely Janet's most engaging ballad since her early work with Jam and Lewis "Come Back To Me," or even to her debut album, "Janet Jackson" and the song "Love and My Best Friend." For this Janet is stripped down to just vocals and a sparse rhythm section. The formula took me aback at the first listen, but the more you listen to it, it grows and builds much like the song itself. It's slow, sparse and affecting and multiple listens as well as hopefully radio plays makes this a winner for Janet and her fans. The video for the song is just as nice. The only thing missing is Jimmy and Terry actually taking this song and really working it out. But JD and Bryan Michael Cox did a really good job this time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nothing is a fitting theme song to a good movie., April 4, 2010

It may take "Nothing" a minute to grow on you, but when it does, this record is a quiet revelation! It has many similar elements to "Again," the theme song to her first feature, Poetic Justice, but it still stands on its own. This song serves as the theme song to Why Did I Get Married Too. I love Jan's vocals on this, the strings and the relatable lyrical content. It's just a really, pretty song in that Janet Jackson pop/r&b catalogue tradition.

I'm a total Michael Jackson fan, but still love to listen to Janet at times. This song is certainly one of those times. Beautiful, I love it.
