This single's value is dubious.,

This single is really a collector's item for hardcore Pearl Jam fans. If you are not a hardcore Pearl Jam collector and want any of the above songs, I strongly suggest that you get "Binaural" and/or one of 72 official Pearl Jam bootlegs. Of course, both live songs here are great versions, but they are not so strikingly good that everyone must own them.As a side note, the same two live songs were featured on the import edition of Binaural, so if you have a lot of money to spend on Pearl Jam memorabilia, you might as well try to find that one instead of buying this.

This was the first single off of Binaural and it rocks!Nothing as it seems is a very moving and intelligent track. This track deals with missing someone, someplace, or something you belong to. The lyrics are awsome, and surely establishes Jeff Ament as the musician in pj that writes music people can connect to easily. In this cd Insignificance is a different mix than that of Binaural, in the album, Brendan Obrien did the track while here it was mixed binaural style by Tchad Blake. In my opinion it sound even better that the mix Obrien did. This cd also include a live version of Footsteps, which is an awsome song. This is the only alternate version, and the only cd where you can get it. Its even more touching than the original recording. This cd is well worth the buy.

For anyone wanting a taste of how amazing Pearl Jam is, you should enter the world the jam by getting this single. Both songs are so incredible that they make the perfect single for anyone looking to dive into this sound. It is also a great single to give the listener an idea of what is to be expected on their Binaural album. Do yourself a favor and throw in a few bucks and buy it! -Grandad Girolamo (FOG)

What else can I say in addition to the title? Pearl Jam can never stop with the amazing sounds that they can create. From ten to BINAURAL. A MUST BUY! I have really high hopes for this new album from what I've heard.

I have just got home from the store with Pearl Jam's new single "Nothing as it Seems", and as the Pearl Jam fan I am, as I write this, I'm as giddy as a school girl. I just listened to both tracks "Nothing as it Seems" and "Insignificance" and they are both great.Nothing as it Seems is the mellow to upbeat song that everyone has been hearing on the radio. I love it. But the song I like even better now is Insignificance. This is Pearl Jam. This song is great. If this CD single is any indication, Binaural will be one of Pearl Jam's best efforts. And you better believe it.

Wow! Pearl Jam just keeps cranking out the great songs. "Nothing As It Seems" is a haunting song that leaves you breathless. Grievance is good enough to be the A-side. Pearl Jam remains the best rock band in the world.

Another New Level,

Pearl Jam continues to create totally new music with their newest release. Ever since Ten each album has had a completely new style and mood. With these two songs Pearl Jam already sets the tone for Binaural and finds yet another way to redesign their form of Rock and Roll. Nothing As It Seems brings the wandering guitar solo back into PJ's realm. The mix of acoustic and energetic electric is perfect. Insignificance has that "edgy, yearing to explode" feeling in Ed Vedder's lungs. The tempo change and the lyrics add up to a powerful song. The new "Binaural" sound is a can't miss, because it has never been done before, just like every other PJ album.

Pearl Jam does it again. These guys are amazingly eclectic and continue to thrill and impress. If these two songs are a prelude to what is to come, then Binaural will be an amazing album. I can't wait.

This is just a band that cannot make a bad album. Everything they touch musically is just pure brilliance. This CD-Single is no exception. Both tracks feature a very experimental new sound by Pearl Jam. Amazing songs soon to be on an incredible album. Binaural is gonna rock!
