5.0 out of 5 stars Roadmap for Redefining Yourself December 29, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I found this clear and well defined roadmap for self-confidence to be helpful for men, as-well as the women it's clearly intended for. It's a quick read, which can also serve as a reference guide during one's continuing journey to redefining themselves!

5.0 out of 5 stars You Will Become December 27, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I was looking for a new direction, a new perspective that would get me out of my barren sand thinking. I needed a professional step-by-step guide to help me with my break through. As I carefully read each page and followed every step, I began to feel more confident in myself and pleased with the direction I wanted to take. For me, this little book was huge in helping me to become. Read this book, follow the steps and you will become also.

2.0 out of 5 stars grammar is awful March 20, 2013
By jenkus
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I like the premise of the book and the exercises in the beginning. However, there are so many grammatical errors that it was very distracting. If the author publishes a book with that many errors in the first chapter I lose all confidence(pun not intended) that they know what they are talking about. I will probably finish it but I'm not very convinced that it will help.

1.0 out of 5 stars Bad. So, so bad. January 21, 2013
By metoo
Format:Kindle Edition
Astonishingly terrible. Really, really bad. I don't think I've ever read something so awful. It sounds like a 6th grade essay, and a bad one at that. The title alludes to how to build confidence, but in reality the ENTIRE book is about how to achieve goals. There are many more facets to confidence than goals. Also, any idiot past the age of thirteen knows how to set and achieve goals. The author assumes everyone who is reading is stupid and needs to be talked down to. I found myself getting increasingly angry as I went along.

Also, there were significant grammar and spelling issues that anyone with a decent editor would catch and change.

Do yourself a favor and skip this piece of garbage completely.

3.0 out of 5 stars nothing new
A good reminder of a few things, but nothing ground-breaking. Got it for free, but wouldn't recommend buying it otherwise.

1.0 out of 5 stars Nothing helpful and full of typos
I guess one thing this book did remind me of is that I can spot a typo from a mile away and it really detracts me from the message I'm reading. Read more

More About the Author

About Debbi

For the last ten years I've dedicated myself to the importance of self-care and teaching other professional women from my own experience. In the past, I sacrificed my health, my relationships and my emotional well-being while striving to balance my professional career and family life.

I put others needs ahead of my own and therefore my dreams never materialized.
To the external world I had it all: successful professional career, financially secure and a family life. On the inside, I had a void in my life I couldn't fill and I couldn't explain. All I knew is that I needed to compromise myself in certain areas of my life to make other areas work. I wasn't being true to myself and frankly it sucked.

I made the decision to start focusing on self-care. As a result, I learned that I cannot give what I do not have. I have learned to give from a place of love instead of guilt and obligation. As a result, I learned a lot about myself and came to understand that I can have it all and not compromise myself.

As I continue on my life journey, I share the practical tools and resources I use myself, in the hopes that it helps others to improve their own life. I can be found at http://www.steppingintojoy.com
