I have been following Reeve and Zane Carney for a few years now and I am so excited to see their 3rd CD come out. It is absolutely brilliant and I can't wait for their next full CD.

I was listening to my public radio station on my way home from school, and during a special new item called "Discoveries" the host introduces a relatively unknown band with great talent. That describes Carney in a nutshell. Going for quality over quantity, each song of the four on disc is excellent, and the price is right. A soft rock feeling with plenty of surprises and influences, Carney is something special to listen to.

Pick this CD up! I happened to be meeting a friend at a local lounge/club. Carney was playing and I was so impressed, I picked up the CD. They've got a great, unique sound and clever lyrics. If you like the Shins, Toadies or anything in between, you'll enjoy this band.

I have to say, this is a hard review to do but I'll try to keep it short and sweet. I love the song "Testify" but I am NOT paying these prices for 4 songs. I am a fan of the band but how can people charge so much for so little? The music gets 4-5 stars but the merchandising gets 1 star overall bringing the quality down. Sorry but lets be real.

I wandered into an Alvarado Street bar in Monterey in October and this band called "Carney" was on the bill for the evening. The bouncers told me these guys were amazing, and they were right. Carney was warming up and doing sound checks and so I heard the opening chords on "Nothing Without You" about 30 times. I was mesmerized. Great EP. I hope they come to New York someday.
