Catchy Tune Indeed,
By The Lunar Camel (Ligonier PA) - See all my reviews

A friend of mine sent me a text yesterday to check this song out and I'm glad I did. The initial guitar reminds me of George Michael's 'Faith'. Toe tapping fun. It doesn't appear the song charted which is surprising. I will definitely be buying her cd when it comes out soon.

Almost Like Father, Like Daughter,

When it has came down to children of famous singers, they just never seem to have the strides that their parents have shown all throughout the years. For Alexa Ray Joel, the daughter of Billy Joel, she does have a lot to really grow into her style of music. Her latest single, Notice Me, isn't really like the way Billy had shown with delightful melodies on songs like Don't Ask Me Why, but it is a stepping stone for Alexa Ray. She has brought more of it out on her debut single For All My Days, when she brought out a bluesy, and intimately soulful style that really re-ignited the passion when her dad and the late Ray Charles drove on Baby Grand back in 1986. Still, I think Alexa Ray deserves a chance to get out there, and delivers a better medley of songs to call all her own. Hopefully, she will.

Amazing voice, needs better material,

Wow! I was stunned how good her voice was live on Howard Stern. I think she sounded better on Howard Stern then the recorded version. It had a little more of a mature sound on Howard Stern. The song did a great job of highlighting her voice. The song itself showed promise but probably needed a little more "seasoning". To me it kind of was a cross between Calypso and 20's flapper music, crazy as that sounds. I know she wants to prove herself but hope she is open to maybe letting some others pen some songs for her, maybe even something from dad. Regardless, with that voice, I will definitely be following what she does in the future.

Like father like daughter!,

Billy Joel is the consummate entertainer. When I heard his daughter being interviewed on Howard Stern (YO BABA BOOEY!), I was wondering if she'd really be any good. Remember how bad John Lennon's kids were when they tried to get into the business? Well, Alexa rocks and this song is totally catchy and fun. Just in time for summer!

I can't believe I'm paying for a song but I, too, heard Alexa Ray Joel's song on Howard Stern this morning and have been singing it all day. She sang it live with just a guitar(ist) by her side. Her voice was crisp, clear, sweet, and cute. The song (Notice Me) is peppy and instantly enjoyable. I will probably be sick of it in a week or two but for now I'm all in for 99 cents.

AWFUL, AWFULBUBBLE-GUM POP,
This review is from: Notice Me [Explicit] (MP3 Download)
I did't like the song at all when I heard it. It has a kind of repetitive, annoying flavor to it. WHAT DOES SAILOR LEE BRINKLEY COOK, ALEXA RAY JOEL'S HALF-SISTER, THINK OF ALEXA'S SONG "NOW IT'S GONE" WHICH TRASHED SAILOR'S FATHER, PETER COOK. DISGUSTING. ALSO, PETER COOK IS JACK PARIS BRINKLEY COOK'S ADOPTIVE FATHER (JACK'S MOM, CHRISTIE BRINKLEY PAID OFF JACK'S BIOLOGICAL FATHER, REAL ESTATE DEVELOPER RICK TAUMBAN, WITH *LOTS OF MONEY * FOR HIN TO NEVER SEE HIS BIOLOGICAL SON JACK AGAIN). I BET JACK PARIS BRINKLEY COOK IS NOT HAPPY WITH THE WAY ALEXA TRASHED HIS ADO[TIVE FATHER PETER COOK IN THAT SONG EITHER.
