A good little documentary of the NY rapper. Some interesting interviews of his friends & family but they could've done a better job (frankly). The sound isn't always great (IMHO), the dialogue isn't always completely clear (as much because of accents etc - there are no english subtitles) and there is NO music whatsoever (because of royalties/rights?).

This last point alone is sacrilege! Here's a great opportunity to expose new people to the likes of "Hypnotize" (and others). A lost opportunity.

They did a good job though of explaining (via first hand interviews) what happened at Tupac's shooting and then later at BIG's murder.

OK, so it doesn't have the music. But it has everything else. This is an inside look into the man who made the music. Completely inspiring to see someone from humble beginnings to superstardom. By the way the tracks that are used are great. I loved it. You get to hear from his closest boyhood friends and people that he grew up with. If you think you know, after watching, now you'll know. Gotta get it to know the real story.

Greetings, This documentary is well done. Superb interview clips, and narration by rap pioneer Big Daddy Kane . You get an in depth look in the life of Biggie and how he shot to the top of his craft in a short amount of time . I recommend this piece for all hip - hop lovers, and historians. Peace !

This guy is the typical rap artist, in that his talent begins and ends with inventing a snappy name for himself. If prepubescent teens ever develop either a thimble full of brains or a modicum of taste, terds like Notorious B.I.G. will spend their days on the back ends of garbage trucks, where they belong.
