This book has lots of doable projects. I would classify the skill level as beginner to intermediate, but be prepared to come up with you own color schemes because there are no photographs of completed projects.

About 95% of the patterns have floral themes: lots of tulips, roses, lilies and other generic flowers. There are also a few pattern with women's profiles, two peacocks, a fish, and a very impressive butterfly pattern (I have seen this one for sale at the auction sites several times). All-in-all this book would be a nice addition to your collection.

This is a great book..as long as you have a good grasp of the relevant colors and at least a little experience with the whole painting on glass idea. The patterns are wonderful and very reminescent of a lot of the fabulous work seen in the art deco period hotel windows and in older tiffany glass. There are some wonderful projects even for more or less beginners, although I would not class these projects as "starter projects". But heck its only paint and glass basically so if you make a mess...start over!

This is a beautiful resource book. The designs are great not only for stained glass but as quilting patents as well.
The designs are presented as black and white outlines, which can be enlarged on the copy machine to the scale of your preference. In the book they appear one on the page, or two on a single page. Four pages (both sides of the front and back cover) are in color, the rest of the artwork is in black and white. The book contains no text or explanation, other than the publishes note as preface.

The images include florals (majority), leaves (many), fish(1), geometric (many), butterlies(2), peacock (2), women (4).

As mentioned earlier I used it to create appliqué quilt designs and got a huge number of compliments as they look very striking in fabric. So this book has many uses and I certainly got my money worth in my art projects.

The cover is the nicest piece, but the inside ones are pretty good. Lots of flower designs similar to the flower in the cover lady's hair. Many with irregular borders if you are into that.
