I ordered this product and another cane holder pictured as used on the cane. The problem is that they are the same basic idea and size, and neither works very well. The pads that are meant to hold the cane from above or beneath the table top don't have enough friction to support the cane in either case if it is bumped lightly. In addition, if the holder is used with a modern cane with a bent handle, the pressure pad doesn't set squarely on the table. I can't recommend it. It just doesn't work well.

Bought this online as it looked like something I could use. If you sit in the same place often and don't mind it attached to your cane all the time, then it might work for you.

I bought this cane holder because I had no way to hang my cane when I was working in my kitchen or seated at a table. Unfortunately, my kitchen counters and my kitchen table are beveled and the cane holder doesn't extend far enough to go beyond the bevel. So, it doesn't work for 90% of the time! It did work well on certain tables when out I dining out.
