5.0 out of 5 stars great software for your new camera or printer
I recently bought a photo printer, and I wanted software that is easy to use and that I could use to enhance/play with my pictures. If you want a program to go with a new digital camera or printer, buy this one. The red eye reduction works great, I love the borders and extra features, and my pictures come out looking like a million bucks.

2.0 out of 5 stars VERY difficult to use
I got this for Christmas and I can't say that I'm impressed. It's very difficult to navigate and it's my experience that it doesn't do everything it says it does. I wanted Photoshop Elements 4.0 and I can zip around that in no time flat but this one has me flustered. You can't resize photos to an exact measurement such as 4x4 inches like you can in PSE, you have to...

I tried using the Adobe Photo Elements software, but it was too complicated(unless you're already a Digital Imaging or Adobe Photoshop pro), and didn't have all the features I wanted (like the photo borders). I think that the Adobe program is great if you're a photography professional; but if you're a "photo tinkerer" like me, go with the Nova Photo Explosion (and its cheaper!)

5.0 out of 5 stars FInally a digital photo product that gets it!, January 12, 2006

Got Photo Explosion Deluxe just before Christmas, and it makes the whole digital photography process a delight. Finally. I've tried lots of other programs. Some are clearly very powerful - Photoshop Elements, for example - but they're way too much for what I need, impossible to navigate, really designed for professionals. Photo Explosion's approach is entirely different. There's lots of hand holding, it's a step by step process, and you just can't go wrong. And there are lots of neat extras, like a morphing program and a montage program and a nice CD slide show maker. They've just really thought it through, and while I've got half a bookcase shelf full of other digital photo editors that have left me underwhelmed, the Nova folks do get it. With respect to rebates, I got mine - and fast. It had the company name on it, not the product name, so I scratched my head for a few minutes before I figured it out. I wonder if that was the problem some other people experienced. Anyway, no rebate problems with this one.

I wanted Photoshop Elements 4.0 and I can zip around that in no time flat but this one has me flustered. You can't resize photos to an exact measurement such as 4x4 inches like you can in PSE, you have to eyeball it which is REALLY difficult. You also can't manually manipulate the colors and effects like you do is PSE. I'm very disappointed in this software. I don't recommend it to ANYONE!

1.0 out of 5 stars Difficult to Use, January 7, 2006

I bought a Canon Powershot camera, a Canon Pixma MP500 printer, extra ink, great paper, and this program. The only bad thing about my experience was this software. It was slower than molasses (my computer has more than enough memory and a nice graphics card) and it made my computer crash several times. I finally managed to do "something" with the program, hated it, and packed it up and returned the product. The store gave us a hard time but finally gave us a full refund.

Pro's: NONE
Con's: slow
caused computer crashes
results were not worth the time, money, nor pain

It looks like a few people love this product according to reviews but it is obvious that not everyone has had a positive experience with this product and/or the company. Many other products made by this company have good reviews you can read on Amazon. Maybe I just had a bad experience and the software was not designed to meet my personal needs but I must give this product a rating of 1.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quick and Easy Photos, December 22, 2005
This review is from: Photo Explosion Deluxe 2.0 (CD-ROM)
I love this software so much I just ordered 2 more copies for my sister and mother-in-law! It is so simple to use my 9 year old comfortably uses it! Within the first few minutes she was editing photos and creating projects. This has been a great bonding tool for my daughter and I. This year she basically designed the family X-mas card herself!

3.0 out of 5 stars Photo Show with Sound Track, December 15, 2004
This review is from: Photo Explosion Deluxe 2.0 (CD-ROM)
I bought the package with the intent of making a Slide Show of Digital Pictures, with a sound track. It works. The only issueis that it can only have one audio file (.WAV) per show. I wanted to burn a CD with a show longer than 4 minutes (avg length of a song). Other than that, it works as advertised.

I paid $80.00 for this program and was not disappointed. Whether editing photos, video captures, or even clipart, this is an excellent choice!!! It was well worth the price I paid and have never experienced any glitches or bugs...

5.0 out of 5 stars Productive & Fun, March 7, 2006
This review is from: Photo Explosion Deluxe 2.0 (CD-ROM)
I am still learning this new software---but it is so easy to learn! Unlike most programs, Photo Explosion is so easy to navigate. I have just finished working with approximately 75 photos from my camera. The download was simple and the editing is so entertaining. I would highly recommend this for any artistically inclined amateurs who don't want to spend a fortune on software.

3.0 out of 5 stars difficult manual, December 12, 2005
This review is from: Photo Explosion Deluxe 2.0 (CD-ROM)
A decent program but hard to follow instructions in manual. Have to hunt around and basically figure out for yourself. I haven`t been able to do things I wanted to do yet.
Also, David Scott is right. Your chances of getting the rebate are nill and none. They won`t even acknowledge. Attorney Generals of all states should be after them. In my opinion they are thieves when they promise but don`t deliver or even care. My last Nova product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun for the whole Family, August 1, 2005
This review is from: Photo Explosion Deluxe 2.0 (CD-ROM)
This software has done everything I have ever asked of it. It is powerful and easy to use. The slide shows it produces are always a big hit. I have enjoyed using this so much I got my mother in law one for her birthday.
