I had an older version of Print Artist - believe it came with 5 cd's. It was great but not for Win7. Bought this version and am happy with it. The learning curve is a little steeper than I had hoped. However it comes with a 300 page Manual so I should be able to do what I want to do without much trouble.

After trying this newer version, I uninstalled three other card-making programs which didn't measure up to PA24.

Update: Used for about one week now. Impressed. Powerful program. Have addressed envelopes, made half-fold and 4-fold Xmas cards. Have found no bugs in program. The Manual is a real bonus considering how many programs now use on-line manuals.

I recently purchased a new PC with the Windows 7 Home Edition. My previous print software was not compatible with the Windows 7. Therefore, I searched the Web for current print software. After a lot of research, I decided on Print Artist Gold 24. So far, I am completely pleased with it. There are still a few
features I am slowly learning to use. However, a very useful and informative pocket size novel of instructions comes with the boxed purchase. I refer to it whenever I need help on something. The results from this product have been outstanding, and I have received many compliments from persons who have viewed some of my projects. I would highly recommend this software to anyone looking for a nice, easy to use and reasonably priced addition to their PC.

I ordered the gold 24 version but the seller sent the more expensive platinum version. I don't know the differance but this one is fully compatible with windows 7. It works much like all these programs do. The big thing for me is the compatibly. I had purchased Print Shop 23. It was advertised as fully compatible with Win7. Printed on the box, and listed by Microsoft as compatible but it did not work on my new coumputer. Print Artist platinum does. Amazon was great about refunding my money for the print shop.

Print Artist is the way all software should be- easy to use, easy to set up and easy to do what YOU want to do- not what the software wants to do. I had PA with our first computer and it spoiled us because it was so easy to use- to do just exactly what you wanted to do without having to go thru all these menus and steps to get what you want. We have tried other print/graphics programs and none of them has ever been as intuitive and easy to use as PA; it is so easy to edit projects and make them look and print just the way you want them to be. If you are looking for a great print program with lots of features and is wonderfully easy to use in this day and age- this is the one.

My Sierra PA V8 Platinum finally quit. I tried Printmaster, Printshop, and Hallmark Card Studio, but they seemed harder to use or were lacking in what I wanted it to do. A lot of the artwork was on an internet website. Considering that a 1TB hard drives are common, why should you have to download a piece of artwork? PA V24 is not as easy to use as Sierra's PA V8, but it is easier than the others that I tried. I wish Nova would consider some of the easy features of PA V8. I can still use the photos and a lot of the artwork from PA V8. When Nova first started Print Artist, I purchased it. I could not get it work on my computer. They had a money back guarantee. I returned the software and they promptly refunded my purchase price. That's a plus!

I have used Print Shop since I bought my first computer over 25 years ago. Due to poor reviews on print shops compatibility issues with windows 7, I decided to try Print Artist Gold 24. It has taken some getting used to, but it has all the bells and whistles tha Print Shop has...just a different format.

Hey Nova Development - - - is it that hard to include a tutorial for the program I ordered and loaded in my computer. I ordered Print Artist Gold 24, loaded it, and then clicked on the tutorial so I could familiarize myself with how it worked. Instead of the tutorial being on Print Artist Gold 24, it was for Photo Explosion. WHAT?!!! That is not what was ordered and not what is on the loaded disk!!!! Is it that hard to include a tutorial for the right program?!!!!

Immediately it just ticked me off. The next thing I did was pull up the greeting cards to look at the graphics. What a piece of junk! The graphics are so elementary and juvenile. Come on Nova Development. You can do better than that!!!! If not, then get out of the software business.

I do not recommend this to anyone who wants to make greeting cards that look like an adult made them.

I had used an old 2004 program and loved the ease of it. This one does not have the same easy capabilities. It now is taking me longer to figure out how to get what I want as I don't want to design pages just use the fonts for printing and adding a graphic design

I had a Print Artist Program from 7 years ago and I thought it was great but this latest version is fantastic. The graphics are great and the ideas are so creative. Many more projects for me to try. I make cards, boxes, posters, gift certificates, and Christmas letters with it. Works terrific with my HP computer and printer.

I bought this printing program after my old computer of 8 yrs crashed, figuring my old printing program wouldn't work. This program is a piece of crap. I've been making my own business cards for years and never had so much trouble w/ a program as I have this one. I changed font styles, moved the margins, went into Advanced Setup Options, and called the company, all to no avail. The problem is that when creating the business card onscreen, it appears that it's in the margins w no problem. But when you put in the card stock you're using, that is listed on this program's menu, it acts like it has no idea where the perforations are on the paper. My words were getting cut off, no matter where I moved the margins to...I had to put as little as possible on the card and it still looked like a 5 yr old did it. I called the software company, waited on hold 20 minutes before speaking w a human, who told me to uninstall, reinstall the program and it should be fixed. It wasn't. I should've known there would be problems when I opened the box and found a 300 pg manual, that wasn't any help to basic printing issues. I went and got my 9 yr old Print Shop program out of storage, loaded on my 2011 laptop and it worked flawlessly. I will never use Print Artist software again.
