5.0 out of 5 stars Pictures Worth A Thousand Words, October 22, 2004
By
This review is from: Nova: Life's First Feelings [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I've used this video for years to teach psychiatric residents, therapists, parents and others about the emotional development of children. It's full of important concepts and wonderful video illustrations. I wish there were something more recent and updated, but I don't know of anything.

5.0 out of 5 stars Award-Winning Educational Video, November 18, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Nova: Life's First Feelings [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This is an outstanding educational video, produced by Nova in 1986. It covers major research in early social and emotional development. It is most appropriately shown in college-level courses on child development. I show it regularly in the courses I teach, and despite its age, the information is still good, and the students enjoy it and gain a great deal of information from it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great video for counselors who work with families and children., July 12, 2008
This review is from: Nova: Life's First Feelings [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Although the video was obviously shot more than a decade ago (it won the APA National Media Award in 1986), Greenspan's work in the area of social/emotional development of children is very relevant. This video is wonderful for those studying or teaching child development and counselors working with parents and children. The only down side in my opinion is that it "looks" dated, but the information itself is "5 star".
