4.0 out of 5 stars love this receiver
we have used this receiver for about a year now and really have enjoyed it. FTA is tricky sometimes, but with a logitech play link to automatically update settings, this receiver works like a champ.

1.0 out of 5 stars NFUSION = Waste of Money
NFUSION Nova is a discontinued model, meaning "no customer support." Plus, NFUSION's servers have been down since December 3rd. Before you buy any satellite receiver, check the FTA satellite hobbyist websites to find out which boxes are "up" and which are "down." NFUSION used to be one of the best, but no more. Unless you're looking for an expensive paperweight, stay...

5.0 out of 5 stars No problem with Dish Pro LNB's here, April 1, 2008
This review is from: Nfusion Nova Satellite Receiver (Electronics)
I am using two dish pro twins and this unit hits like a charm. I am getting 1500 channels plus with no switching issues. There is a slight lag compared to other receivers when turning channels.

4.0 out of 5 stars Almost Perfect..., May 9, 2008

Very nice, easy set up, is working so far, has being down a couple of hours but normally is up (on DN), is not perfect because it gets very hot, I had to put a little fan on top [yes I have no warranty now.. :( ] but now is TOTALLY COOL!!!!!!

if you are afraid of losing warranty, then I don't recommend it, since it really need a fan but... if you have air conditioning on the room and you will receive a nice cool air or you know that the receiver will be VERY ventilated AND you have a network cable or will go wireless on this then is a GO!

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice little hastle free unit, January 20, 2009
This review is from: Nfusion Nova Satellite Receiver (Electronics)
I see there is a poster here that is upset because the PVR is not working for him. Yes true the PVR is not up to snuff, because it is still in beta mode. When the nFusion people plan on doing something about that is only a guess.
My take on this receiver is, I wanted a receiver that would be dependable for watching FTA satellite reception that didn't cost an arm and a leg, and that is exactly what I got with the Nova. It does get a little hot, but I have found if you allow for some elevation the heat goes pretty much away. I have run my nFusion for almost a year now and have never turned it off, and it still keeps working like a champ. The price has been lowered for the nFusion Nova to $129 on most factory authorized web sites, so before you buy check around.

I buy this fta and after a month this burn, this always was very hot.
in the general it works well, always this up, but this burn.

1.0 out of 5 stars Does not record and motor functionality is non-existent, February 17, 2008
By
This review is from: Nfusion Nova Satellite Receiver (Electronics)
Avoid this box at all costs if you plan on:

1) Using it to record.
2) Using a motorized dish.
3) Using Dish Pro LNB's

Recording: Recording a program will usually result in a screen freeze within 1-10 minutes. The PVR function is worthless as recording is just about non-functional with the box freezing up when attempting to do so.

Motorized Dishes: This box can't remember stored motor positions. If you store, for example, 97W and 123W and watch programming on 97W then try to go to 123W, the Receiver will not move the motor. You must go into the motor setup and try to move the motor to the desired location, which usually doesn't work.

Dish Pro LNB's: Try scanning channels using DP LNB's and you will find that many channels don't show up. There is no fix for this, just like there is no fix for motor functions or PVR/Recording.

I would avoid this overpriced pile of junk at all costs.
Contacting Nfusion has been useless as they won't respond, and if you visit the various FTA forums on the internet, you will see that the above claims I've made are correct.

Avoid this POS at all costs, unless you want to be frustrated and aggravated beyond your wildest dreams, or you want a $200.00+ paperweight.

This box is utterly useless. Avoid it all costs.
